ANOTHER GLORIOUS WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 9th / MARCH 2017.

This morning Brenda was up first, for a change, and after a quick freshen up she shot off down to the surgery for the routine tests, meanwhile I had a little lie in before the ‘Council’ water wagon came down our street washing away the dirt, no ‘ Reina’ this morning as Daniela has the day off to revise and write a 15,000 word dissertation/thesis ready for her senior ‘Accountancy’ exams next week over in London.

When Brenda returned we had ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ and mugs of steaming tea to set us up for the day ahead, well that’s our excuse! ‘ Charlie’ went home last night so it’s very quiet in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ at the moment, with no dogs back with us until Monday, ‘Reina’ for her normal five days and on Wednesday ‘ TJ ‘ an old ‘Jack Russell’ who is with us for two nights and three days until Friday, his Dad & Mum are getting married in Gibraltar! ‘ Chispa ‘ has just called in to see us and her friends, so doubt she will be back over the next few days, as usual, charging in & out as she’s running around!

Tomorrow morning I’m out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping and then later in the afternoon I have my appointment across at the hospital for my assessment with the ‘ Anestesia Consultant ‘ – we are stopping off on the way back for a nice glass of ‘Cava’ at the ‘ H10 Estepona Princess ’  and then calling into ‘ Marlows ‘ Fish & Chip shop for our ‘ Fish n’ Chip’ supper! On Saturday afternoon it’s the ‘ Carnival Parade’ along Call Mar, over the weekend its then all happening down in the main square in Sabinillas.

See the poster below.

The sun was out very early this morning, the sky is bright blue again and there is no breeze, by lunchtime its due to reach 25/26 degs, tomorrow and over the weekend we have more of the same, just going a little cooler as a light breeze comes off the Mediterranean, next week is looking warm & sunny, watch this space.

See below some pictures of the ‘River Mersey ‘ over the last few days;

No word or sightings of the ‘ Moffatts ‘ up in Mojacar, at the moment,  they are enjoying the village and the area before moving on, North, South or West, watch this space.

See below an old postcard from ‘ Old Colwyn ‘ to remind them of home!

At lunchtime we went up to ' Bar Ocana ' next to the chemists in Calle Mar, we had very nice 'Tapas ' off their new menu with cool drinks, Mano & Anna with their friend Pam, from North Wales, who is staying with them were sat outside 'Cafe Plaza' on the other side of the road, we had a good catch up with all the news & gossip, all the bars are talking about the new plans to make 'Calle Mar' traffic free, after the 'Semana Santa' celebrations at Easter, they will all have to take down their various outside canopy's to conform to the new Councils standards, watch this space!

This evening for our supper we are having the rest of the ‘ Chicken Curry ‘ with twice-cooked ‘ Chips ‘ – tomorrow is ‘ Fish Night ‘ ( see above) – on Saturday it will be ‘ Steak Night’ and then on Sunday we have yet to decide the menu, watch this space.

Last night over here in the second leg of the ‘ Champions League ‘ Barcelona pulled off the greatest comeback ever, needing three more goals at 88 minutes, they beat ‘ PSG’ in the 95th minute 6-1 ( agg 6-5 ! ) after being down 4-0 after the first leg! One of the ‘ Greatest ‘ games of all time, the Spanish press this morning has gone mad!!

See above some old pictures of ‘ Exchange Station ‘ in Liverpool, sadly now closed, the end of the line from my side of Liverpool,  ‘Steam ‘ at its best and also one of the ‘Electric’ trains that I went on all the time to Southport & Ormskirk.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
