A MILD & SUNNY MANILVA ON ' MOTHERING ' SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 26th/ MARCH 2017     “ MOTHER’S DAY “

We managed another nice lie in this morning despite loosing the hour! We then had a light breakfast of fresh, local Orange Juice, toast & tea before getting the Sunday ‘ Roast’ on the go.

Overnight it’s gone a lot milder, the wind has dropped, this morning the sun broke through and the sky is clearing, there is no rain on the forecast for the next 7 days, each day it’s getting warmer and by next weekend it’s going to be hot, watch this space.

See below, the sunrise, this morning, over the Mediterranean.

For our ‘ Roast’ this week we are having ‘ Roast Topside of English Beef ‘ with Yorkshire Puddings, the ‘ Vegetable Chef ‘ has excelled herself this morning, Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a Three Cheese sauce, crushed Carrots& Turnips, Braised Onions, whole Green Beans, Garden Peas and blanched Acelgas ( Swiss Chard) The ‘ Goose Fat Roast Potatoes’ will go in the oven this evening, finally I made my famous finger-licking Pan Gravy!

See the picture below of this evenings ‘Vegetable’ selection.

At lunchtime we went up to ' Bar Castillo ' for a light ' Tapas ' lunch - 'Tortillitas de Camerones ' and a nice cool drink, sat with all the locals tasking in the sights, sounds & aromas of sunny Manilva!

Just a very quick update on the sports results; Vettel in the new  ‘Red Ferrari ‘ beat Lewis Hamilton in the ‘ Australian Grand Prix ‘ over in Melbourne, it was just faster! The England v Lithuania game is this evening.

After supper yesterday evening we channel hopped and watched nothing in particular, we could not find a good film to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
