A CLOUDY BUT DRY SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY:

WEDNESDAY 15th/ MARCH 2017.

I was up first again this morning to welcome back ‘ Reina’ for the day, she’s being picked up later this evening after Lee collects Daniela off her flight from London, at lunchtime ‘ TJ ‘ is joining us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ as his Dad & Mum are getting married in Gibraltar, he’s with us until Friday evening, tomorrow ‘ Scruffy’ is back with us for the day, he’s also back with us on next Tuesday, ‘ Chispa’ no doubt will be calling in to see all her friends, old & new!

We are waiting for the handyman to arrive as we have more problems with the main drain, again, I called yesterday evening, hopefully it will be easier to fix this time, with the new inspection hatch, watch this space.

After our normal light breakfast I got this evenings supper on the go  “ Chicken & Mushroom ‘Tarragon’ Casserole  “ – the diced Chicken Breast is dusted in seasoned flour and browned off, I then ‘ sweat-off’ all the diced vegetables, ‘ Onions, Carrots, Leek, Celery, Green Beans, Red & Green Peppers and Mushrooms’ with White Wine, Tarragon and the secret ingredients, then the chicken is added to the pot along with a rich Chicken & Vegetables stock, its then left to slowly simmer under the eagle eye of the ‘ Second Chef’!  Meanwhile the ‘ Vegetable Chef ‘ is preparing Whole Green Beans, Broccoli Florets & twice-cooked diced ‘ Frits ‘

The rain stopped early yesterday evening and it looks like it has now blown over, there is very stiff wind coming in off the  ‘Mediterranean’ making the sea very rough along the coast, as you can see in the picture below, up the coast in Alicante yesterday they had the heaviest rain in its history, 137mm in 2 hours! Very severe flooding and damage to properties and business’s but no victims!! It’s cloudy and a little cooler but there is now no sign of any of the wet stuff, in the next couple of days, the sun is attempting to break through and the weekend is looking dry, sunny and warmer, watch this space.

Yesterday evening after supper we settled down to watch the concluding part of ‘The Replacement ‘ – in a masterpiece of ambiguity they kept us guessing up to the dramatic end, as to which one was mad?! ‘The Replacement’ was lying about the existence of her daughter, she had been killed by a hit-and-run driver years ago, she then theatrically threw herself down a flight of stairs and accused the main character of pushing her, who was then drugged and locked in a car, her baby was taken from her ex husband’s home, she then showed remarkable mechanical skills as he escaped from the car and found her baby safe and well, are you following?! The ‘ Mad ‘ replacement was taken away in handcuffs, she had also killed the wife of the boss of the business were they all worked!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
