We all had another good night’s sleep, ‘Charlie’
came upstairs again and spent the night on the rug by the side of the bed, ‘Scruffy’
as usual was on the bed and in his bed, this morning ‘ Charlie’ woke me up just
as ‘ Reina’ was due to be dropped off, we then all went for the first walk of
day, except ‘ Reina’ who shot into her duvet.
After breakfast I topped up the ‘
Lancashire Hotpot’ with more cutlets, a little stock and a new layer of sliced
potatoes, it will go in the oven this evening while we are out at the surgery
for our appointment with the ‘ Chiropodist ‘
The ‘ Menu’s’ for the rest of the week have
yet to be decided, watch this space.
This morning the ‘ Euro’ has dropped to its
lowest so far this year, our ‘Pension’ transfers were last week so it gives it
time to come back up in time for the next round of transfers in a month’s time!
We are still overall nearly 33% down!!
At lunchtime we went up to ' Bar Castillo ' for a light ' Tapas ' lunch sat in the warm sunshine.

As we were out with the dogs this morning
the sun was already out, the sky had cleared and the breeze had dropped, overnight
the temperature has risen by nearly 10degs! We are in for a warm & sunny
week down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – getting warmer as the week goes on,
the weekend is also looking good with more of the same, it’s a beautiful day, very
pleasant, we are looking forward to a ‘ Helluva’ week here in sunny Manilva,

Before supper we caught the new series on ‘
BBC TV 2 ‘ of “ Top Gear “ – they started with the new ‘Ferrari FXX.K ‘ – it’s
the latest hybrid ‘KERS’ ‘ supper car, with a top speed of 214 mph (TBC) . it
goes from 0-100 kph in 2.5sescs, with 1,
035 horsepower, it can’t be taken on any roads or racing, it needs a team of
Ferrari support staff, and it costs $ 2.7 million, you can’t buy it, you have
to be asked by Ferrari as a valued customer, as only 50 will be built!
After supper last night we settled down to
watch the next episode of ‘ SS-GB’ on BBC TV; the main character survived an assignation
attempt down on the underground ( by a umbrella night-stick
with a blade!) – he ended up back in bed with the American journalist/spy?! He
found the killer who was then killed by a ‘ jumpy’ German officer, who gave
him a poisoned cigarette, he’s discovered the missing plans/film for the ‘Atomic
Bomb¡ inside the prosthetic elbow joint left at the scene of the original murder,
he’s playing a fine line between the ‘ SS, German Army Intelligence, MI5/6, the
Resistance movement and the Americans ‘ and finally at the end at Highgate
Cemetery the Germans were disinterring the coffin of ‘ Karl Marx ‘ as a present
to their Russian allies, when a bomb went off! Watch this space.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
