A GREY, OVERCAST & COLD SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 16th / MARCH 2017.

We were both up early this morning, I saw ‘Reina’ back with us for the day,  she shot, as usual into her duvet, she’s being collected later this evening, I then took ‘TJ’ out for his first walk of the day, he slept all night in his bed by the side of our bed, then ‘ Scruffy’ arrived for a short stay as Adrian is back at the hospital for a check up, it was then time for breakfast for us and all the dogs staying with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’!

Sadly the handyman didn’t arrive yesterday to fix/repair the blocked drains, I’ve just come off the phone after making my feelings known, watch this space. He arrived at lunchtime but has not been able to solve the problem, he's coming back first thing on Friday morning with more workmen as they will have to dig up the downstairs toilet floor to hopefully get at the blocked drain, we are not 'Happy Bunnies ' and have just rung the family solicitors to complain, again, we are now up to our eyes in raw sewage!! (after he left!)  WATCH THIS SPACE !!

PS; Three workmen arrived back and have managed to sort the problem out but are coming back tomorrow morning to complete the job.

This morning has started overcast, grey & cold, there is a stiff breeze but thankfully at the moment it’s staying dry, tomorrow is the same but then over the weekend it’s picking up, again, with warm sunshine and a lot calmer, next week is now looking settled with more of the same, watch this space.

See below the beach & promenade down in Sabinillas this morning as the storm causes more damage to the beach and walls.

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the “ Chicken & Mushroom ‘Tarragon’ Casserole ”  from last night with a Baked Potato and Garden Peas, Friday evening is ‘ Fish Night ‘ and on Saturday we will be having Grilled Steaks, then on Sunday I’m going to make my famous ‘ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto’ for a change.

The excellent racing coverage from the ‘ Cheltenham Festival ‘ on ITV has been very exciting, with close photo-finishes and favourites being beaten, two more days to go with the climax on Friday when it’s the ‘Gold Cup ‘ – in the ‘Champions League’ football Manchester City lost on the away goals rule to Monaco, who beat them 3-1 after ‘ City’ winning the first leg 5-3! Leicester are the only English club left in the draw, taking place tomorrow, as they beat Sevilla 2-0.( 3-2 agg)

This weekend it’s the climax of the ‘Six Nations Rugby Union Championship’ as England travel to Dublin to play Ireland in the  ‘ Grand Slam ‘ game and at the same time seek a record-breaking 19 th straight victory to beat the New Zealand ‘All Blacks’ record, watch this space!

This evening after supper we will channel hop to find something to watch, there are new series starting again over the next two weeks ‘ Vera ‘ with Brenda Blethyn, which we have not seen before, and  the excellent ‘ Line of Duty ‘ – which we have!

PS; We have just had a postcard from our Swedish friend. Lillemor, letting us know that she will be back here by the end of the month; please keep the postcards coming when you are out & about!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
