A CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 18th/ MARCH 2017.

I was up early this morning and shot out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, I did the main shop in ‘ Mercadona ‘ and then popped along to the ‘ English Bookshop’ for the local newspapers and a birthday card ( watch out it could be yours!) On the way back up the hill I called into ‘ Super Sol’ for the English essentials, after unloading back at the house I treated myself to a ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty ’ smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce with a mug of steaming tea.

The sun broke through early this morning, the sky is clear and there is just a very light breeze making it crisp & sunny, it’s going warmer over the weekend and into next week but by Thursday we are in for some more of the wet stuff as yet another ‘ Atlantic ‘ cold front hit us, watch this space.

See below the waterfront of Liverpool this morning.

We have a ‘ doggy free’ weekend and are taking things easy, next week ‘ Reina’ is back with us for her normal five days & ‘Scruffy’ is coming for the day on Tuesday as Adrian is back in hospital for a check up, no doubt ‘ Chipsa’ will call in over the weekend but its near the ‘wrong time of the year’ so she might be confined to her house, Brenda has the washing machine on as it’s a good drying day, she also washing her hair, meanwhile I’m up in the office/studio on the WWW, as you can see.

On the sports front over in the ‘Premiere League ‘ Everton welcome Hull and on Sunday Liverpool go up the East Lancashire Road to play Manchester City in the ‘ Match of the Day’ – over here in ‘ La Liga ‘ Real Madrid travel to Atheltico Bilbao and then on Sunday Barcelona welcome Valencia; the ‘National Hunt Racing’ is from Uttoxeter & Kempton Park, finally in Dublin, Ireland welcome England in the climax of the ‘ Six Nations Rugby Union Championship’ as England go for back to back ‘ Grand Slams’ and to break the ‘ All Blacks’ record of 18 consecutive wins! Watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Grilled Fillet Steak ‘ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ and then left to rest, garnished with seared Asparagus spears, Button Mushrooms and deep-fried Onion rings coated in the ‘ Cruzcampo’ Beer Batter, whole Green Beans and of course some twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ on the side with ‘ Bearnaise ‘ sauce & Dijon Mustard to taste.

On Sunday evening I’m making my famous ‘ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto’

After supper we will channel hop to find a good film to watch, on Sunday evening we will be watching the next episode of ‘ SS-GB’ which sadly clashes with the new series of ‘ Vera ‘ over on ITV.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
