A STILL SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY, GOING A LITTLE COOLER LATER.

SUNDAY 12th / MARCH 2017.

We managed another little lie in this morning before getting the day on the go, after freshening up we had tea & toast before getting today’s ‘ Sunday Roast ‘ ready; ‘Roast Leg of New Zealand, South Island, Lamb ‘ studded with Garlic & Rosemary, with my finger licking Pan Gravy, the ‘ Vegetable Chef’ has prepared Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a Three Cheese sauce, Crushed Carrots & Turnips, Cabbage with Acelgas and Garden Peas. We have also ‘ Boulangere ‘ Potatoes, ‘ Fondant ‘ Potatoes and even some of Brenda’s famous ‘ Mashed’ Potato ( leftover trimmings from the ‘ Fondant’!)

Today has started sunny with a stiff breeze, the sky is clear but on the horizon the clouds are forming, by this evening the ‘ Atlantic’ front will be over us with colder weather, down by nearly 12/14 degs! Over the week ahead we are in for the wet stuff, by the weekend it’s due to pick up with some sunshine, watch this space.

A quick update on the sports results; Everton won 3-0, Manchester City won 0-2, France beat Italy 18-40 and England retained the ‘ Six Nations ‘ title with a seven-try demolition of Scotland 61-21 and equalled New Zealand’s world record for consecutive Test wins! It means that England face Ireland, and Jonny Sexton, in Dublin next weekend with both consecutive ‘Grand Slams’ and a world record of 19 Test wins in their sights! Watch this space.

We taking things easy today, staying at home and relaxing, ‘Chispa’ has been in & out all morning, later we will catch the next episode of “ SS-GB” on BBC TV, after our supper.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
