A VERY CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 13th/ MARCH 2017.

I was up first this morning to welcome back little princess ‘Reina’ for the day, she’s with us all this week, as normal, for five days, on Wednesday we have a new dog joining us here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ – ‘ TJ ‘ an older ‘ Jack Russell’ – he’s with us until Friday evening as his Dad & Mum are getting married in Gibraltar.

After our regular breakfast we sorted ourselves out, Brenda has dived into the shower and I’m following her later, at the moment we have no appointments this week, we are waiting for the phone call from the hospital for my ‘Prostrate Operation’ –  I will be out on my travels on Friday for the weekly shopping, watch this space.

I have just been along to the local bank in ‘Calle Mar’ to pay the electricity bill, the sun was out early and the sky is still bright blue, the threatened cold and wet ‘ Atlantic’ front has yet to take effect, it’s a little cooler but still very pleasant, by the evening it’s due to change, tomorrow and over the next few day we are in for the wet stuff, over the weekend we are getting back to normal, warm sunshine and clear skies, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Roast Shoulder of New Zealand, South Island, Lamb’ – the Leg was only small – we are going for a ‘ fry-up ‘ of the leftover vegetables and the rest of the ‘ Boulangere & Fondant’ potatoes will go on the over at the same time, the rest of week is still TBC, we are taking things one day at the time, watch this space.

Just a quick update on the sports results; Liverpool won 2-1, Real Madrid won 2-1 and Barcelona lost 2-1! Tomorrow afternoon I will be watching the ‘ National Hunt Racing Festival ‘ from Cheltenham on ITV, I’s the highlight of the jump season, over five days.

Yesterday evening we watched the final episode of ‘ Call the Midwifes’ – with a birth, a death and a wedding, a emotional drama with in the closing moments a lesbian kiss! Then it was time for the next episode of “ SS-GB “ In a gripping/chilling story after last week’s devastating explosion, the American lady ‘ spy’ was taken away and faced the torture chamber, a big figure in resistance was found dead, two more of the main characters were rounded up and thrown into prison, they later escaped but one of them was shot, the main character ‘ Archer of the Yard’ is helping to escort the King out of the country, Archer’s young son has been sent to the unoccupied part of the county, the micro-films of the ‘Atom Bomb’ are still safe, it’s going to be a very exciting concluding episode nest Sunday!

This evening after supper we will settle down to watch the next episode of ‘ Broadchurch’ as the ‘ CID’ officers start the painstaking process of interviewing, collecting statements etc, as they start to uncover inconsistencies and lies, hidden connections. Tomorrow night  it’s the concluding part of ‘ The Replacement ‘ – as the two main characters go head to head, which one IS crazy?! - watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
