A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND.

FRIDAY 10th / MARCH 2017.

I was up & out this morning on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, I did the main shop in ‘Mercadona’ before going along to the ‘Ferreteria’s‘ for light bulbs and mould spray, I picked up the local newspapers from the ‘ English Bookshop ‘ before going along the promenade to the local market for the fresh flowers and a wall plant, I stopped at the garage to top up the petrol  and finally called into ‘ Super Sol’ for the English essentials, I then shot back up the hills through the vine fields back to our house to unpack. ‘Chispa’ was there to welcome me back.

Today it’s the finest day, so far this week, the sun was out early and the sky is clear and bright blue, there is no breeze making it very pleasant, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 25/26 degs and tomorrow it could be as high as 28 degs! Next week it’s starting to change , a little, as there is a new front coming in off the ‘Atlantic’ making it a little cooler, cloudy and even with the threat of rain, watch this space.

This afternoon we are going across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital ‘ past Marbella for my appointment with the ‘ Anestesia Consultant’ for my pre-check up/review, ready for my ‘Prostrate’ operation later in the month, hopefully, we will hear shortly. All clear and ready to go!!

On the way back we are calling into the ‘ H10 Estepona Palace ‘ for a nice glass of chilled Cava, we are then staying out for our supper, either ‘ Fish N’ Chips ‘ or the ‘Menu Del Dia’ at the ‘ La Taberna 2 ‘ in Castillo de la Duquesa – both owned by the ‘ Marlow ‘ family!

On Saturday we are going up to  ‘Bar Rojas’ in the afternoon and will watch the  ‘ Carnival Parade ‘ along Calle Mar, for our supper we are having ‘ Grilled Fillet Steaks ‘  with all the trimmings and then on Sunday we are ‘ Roasting ‘ – watch this space.

Last night after supper we watched the next episode of  “ A Very British Hotel “ – London’s ‘ Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park ‘ – showing the ‘ five ***** ‘ clients and their foible’s and eccentricity, a very strange ‘ Chinese Wedding couple, the French ‘ Concierge ‘ showing off, a very young ’ Night Housekeeper ‘ dealing with all the usual late night problems including  ‘Vomit’ at the Reception desk!  She ‘left it’ for a new daytime job!!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
