TUESDAY 12th/ SEPTEMBER 2017.
I was up first this morning and after
seeing little princess ‘Reina ‘ back with us for the day I took ‘ Charlie’ for
his first walk of the day, he slept all night on the marble floor by our bed, ‘Reina’
had shot into her duvet, as usual, he’s very good when you take him out, he
strolls along at our pace and dosn’t pull, he’s eating everything we give him,
his canned meat and dry-meal, as well as the ‘ goodies’
When we returned we all had a little lie in
before breakfast, we had our regular ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea, I then shot
down to the local butchers for some
diced( boned) Chicken Thigh & Leg to go in tomorrow’s ‘Curry’ with the
diced Breast, accompanied with Brenda’s famous ‘ Basmati Rice’ - this evening we are having ‘ Seared Calves
Liver’ dusted in seasoned flour, with Crispy Smoked Bacon, crushed Carrots,finely sliced Green
Beans and the last of the ‘ Boulangere’
Potatoes with a sauceboat of the ‘ Red Wine, Mushroom & Onion ‘ sauce on
the side.
The sun was out early this morning and the
sky is bright blue, there is no breeze and so it was already very hot as I
walked down to the butchers, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 33/34 degs, the
rest of the week and over the weekend is now staying warm & sunny, in the
high 20s, low 30s, next week has also settled down and will be warm &
sunny, watch this space.

Yesterday evening after supper we had a
choice to make, ‘BBC or ITV ‘ as they both had thriller series starting at the
same time and written by the two brothers that wrote the excellent ‘ The
Missing ‘ On BBC it was “ Rellik “ –the title is ‘ killer’ backwards, and on
ITV “ Liar “ – we chose ‘ Rellick’- it’s
the story of a serial murderer, starting at the end and telling the tale in
reverse, you have to pay attention all the time, meanwhile we were going to
watch the ITV series later on ‘playback’ – it’s a psychological thriller about
rape or consent?!
Sadly the ‘ Amazon Fire TV Stick ‘ system
is now not working again, I’ve tried to reset it on the TV and on the computer
system, both with no luck, so far, this means that we will miss the evenings
second episode of ‘ Doctor Foster ‘ at the same time, on BBC TV, when we get it
working gain we will be able to use the ‘I Player’ & ‘ Playback’ - watch
this space.
PS; I managed to get the system working , at lunchtime, so we have now watched " Liar " - a tense psychosexual thriller as Laura, a schoolteacher ( Joanne Frogatt) goes for dinner with a dashing doctor ( Ioan Gruffudd) - his son is in her class. The next morning she has a blurred memory of being sexually assaulted,which he denies and says it was with her consent! She has a history of mental health problems, his wife committed suicide, her ex-boyfriend is a copper and is having an affair with her elder sister, at the end she posted a rant on the social media, undermining her case and credibility, watch this space.
