A NOW WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 11th/ SEPTEMBER 2017.

We were both up early this morning as we had our appointments down at the surgery with our Doctor, Natalia, for our six month review/check up’s, Brenda shot off to the surgery and I waited to see little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, I then took ‘Charlie’ with me down to the surgery, for his first walk of the day at the same time, Brenda was in first and I then took my turn as we exchanged ‘ doggy-sitting’ duties outside!

All Brenda’s results were fine, including the blood pressure readings, she has not to go back until December for some blood tests etc for her appointment at the end of January 2018 at the hospital with the ‘ Kidney Consultant’ – mine were also all fine, she was very impressed with my blood pressure readings which have settled down, my weight loss is making the difference, she checked my blood tests etc and they showed good results including my prostate readings, ready for my six month review at the end of the month with my ‘Prostate Consultant’ at the hospital, she has also adjusted my prescription tablets to control my heart/angina readings.

When we returned we had ‘ Crispy Smoked Butties ‘ – open on Brown for Brenda, with mugs of steaming tea, we then sorted our week ahead out, which was easy as we have no plans, so far, I’m out on my travels on Friday morning, down to Sabinillas, for the weekly shopping, otherwise we are ‘ Free ‘ to relax, basically doing nothing! The handyman, Juan, is popping back this afternoon to finish the last of the ‘ Mastic’ work on the wash basin in the downstairs toilet. Next week Brenda is going to make an appointment with her hairdresser, Anne, for the full works.  ‘Reina’ is back with us tomorrow and on Friday, ‘ Charlie ‘ is with us on his holidays until the middle of next week.

This morning has started a little grey & overcast, but is now clearing and the sun is out and the sky is nearly bright blue, there is a very light breeze making it very pleasant,  today it will be by lunchtime in the high 20s, tomorrow it’s going to reach 33 degs, then for the rest of the week it’s back to the high 20s, at the weekend its going a little cooler, hovering on the 24/25 degs mark, next week is also going to remain the same, watch this space.

See below a picture of ' Chris Froome ' in Madrid yesterday with the trophy' ?! - after winning the ' Vuelta a Esapana 17 '

This evening for our supper we are having the rest of the ‘Lamb Steaks’ with a ‘fry-up’ of the leftover vegetables and the ‘ Boulangere ‘ potatoes, the rest of the week is still one day at the time, watch this space.

There is no sign of the ‘ Moffats, Tim & Thea, we think that they are back here in Spain up in Mojacar or due very soon, we are going to try and make contact on the ‘ Skype’ video, watch this space.

We have just caught up with them over in Old Colwyn, North Wales, Thea had just come back from their sons, Ben, gym,  Tim was relaxing at home with their dog ‘ Jasper’ after coming back from his walk in the rain! They are due over on the 23rd of September and will then settle into their ‘new’ caravan on the same site that they stayed at earlier in the year, Jo, is back in Madrid preparing for the ‘English’ school to re-open after the summer holidays, tomorrow. We shall no doubt be popping up to see them, sooner than later, up in Mojacar, watch this space.

Last night after supper we settled down to watch the first of the two-part drama ‘” Strike: The Silkworm “ on BBC TV, an entertaining and disturbing peek into the darker side of ‘JK Rowlings’ imagination, with sadomasochism, necrophilia, cannibalism, as well as slander in the literary world of London?! It started with a woman gassing herself, then the discovery of the flayed torso with acid scalding and ritual disembowelling!! Strike and his lovesick assistant Robin discover that the killing was in the latest book written by the victim, so it could be the Icy Agent, the bitter Literary Foe or the Doormat Wife ?! ‘Queasy & Creepy ‘ are the main thoughts, we can’t wait for next week’s conclusion, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
