We had a nice lie in this morning before
the delivery men arrived down our street taking goods to our local shop, after
freshening up we had our normal light breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea,
this afternoon we have our appointments with the replacement Chiropodist down
at the surgery, otherwise we are taking things very easy after all the celebrations
over the weekend.
This morning one of our regular Pension
transfers arrived in our Spanish bank account, one day late, this is because
the ‘ International Pensions ‘ Payments Section has a ‘USA’ Bank account(?) and
it was a ‘ Bank Holiday’ – ‘Labour Day ‘ over in America, yesterday morning we
had arranged another transfer, of monthly/annual annuities, from our ‘UK’ bank
account in Colwyn Bay, we have an international private banker ‘hot line’ –
that transfer arrived in a couple of hours, both were at the lowest exchange
rate in 8 years, the Euro v Pound is at basically 1 for 1!
Tomorrow morning I’m going down to our bank
in Sabinillas to arrange transfers between accounts, at the same time I will
call into the ‘ Movistar’ shop and check out the contact arrangements for the ‘
Fiber Optic’ system installation, watch this space.
We have another glorious day down here on
the ‘ Costa Del Sol ‘ – the sun broke through earlier and the sky is clear
& blue, the breeze has dropped and we are in for a hot & sunny day, by
this afternoon it will be 27/28 degs, the rest of the week and over the weekend
it’s going to be a little hotter, watch this space.

Last night we watched, for a change, the ‘World
Cup ‘ Qualifying football from Wembley as England beat Slovakia 2-1, this
evening Spain are in Liechtenstein, meanwhile here in the ‘ Vuelta a Espana 17 ‘
after the rest day it’s the Individual Time Trial around LogroƱo, Chris Froome
is expected to make more time on his rivals, as he’s one of the best Time
Trialists in the World, then over the next 4 days, before the finish in Madrid
on Sunday, they are all mountain stages with the stiffest on Saturday! Watch
this space.
Yesterday evening we had a nice long catch
up/chat with Sandra & Bill over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, they are
starting to get ready for their trip to Spain at the end of the month, we can’t
wait to meet them and show them around the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ & Andalusia, they are
still in ‘BBQ’ mode over there as the weather is still good, they had a lot of
old work friends around over the weekend, they have also been out & about
to see friends in ‘ Grand Bend’ on Lake Huron, the other day they went to ‘Tobermory’
– the ‘Fresh Water ‘ Scuba’ Diving Capital of the World’ – as there are multiple shipwreck dive sites in
the clear green water on Lake Huron!
As in America, all over Canada, there are
town/city names from all over the World, close to them is London & Paris!
There is even a Liverpool in ‘Nova Scotia’ on the Atlantic Ocean!! ( and one in
New York!)
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
