TUESDAY 15th/ AUGUST 2017. “ ASSUMPTION DAY “
I was up early this morning to see little
princess ‘ Reina’ back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ for the day, she shot
upstairs and joined us on the bed for a nice lie in, she’s back tomorrow and
then five days next week, the village is very quiet today as it’s a Bank
Holiday “ Assumption Day “ – one of the many religious holidays in the calendar.
‘Chispa’ has been in & out all the time since she returned from her holiday
down at the families ‘ Campo’
After our regular breakfast we got the day
on the go, we filled in a new ‘Tax’ information form from our ‘English’ bank
and posted it back in the Yellow post box on the Town Halls wall, one of our
Pension transfers arrived in our ‘Spanish’ bank account yesterday morning, the
lowest ‘Euro’ exchange rate since we arrived here in 2006, we are now down
nearly 40%!
Today has started warm & sunny with a very
light breeze, it’s goes warmer as the day goes on, by this afternoon it’s due
to reach 28/29degs+ Tomorrow is going to be hotter, the rest of the week and
over the weekend we are in for more of the same, next week is the also looking
warm & sunny, watch this space.
For supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Gammon Steaks’ topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg, Garden Peas &
twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – ‘HP’ Brown sauce on the side! The rest of the week we
are taking one day at the time, we are stocked up, watch this space.
We are taking things very easy over the
next two days as on Thursday we are out on our travels on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’
at the busiest and hottest time of the year, then on Friday we are down in
Sabinillas for the weekly shopping.
