WEDNESDAY 9th/ AUGUST 2017.
I was up early this morning to welcome back
little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, she’s also now going to be with us on
Saturday evening, she shot upstairs and we all went back to bed for a little
sleep in the cool of the morning, after another very hot & sticky night, we
were then disturbed by a Council workman with his drill digging up the concrete
around the ‘Natural Well Water Tap’ in the side street by the house, they are
renewing the pipe work and the tap, watch this space.
Sadly there is still no sign of the ‘
Movistar ‘ workers installing the Fiber Optic cables down out street to the
house, as promised this week, watch this space.
For our breakfast we had ‘ Crispy Smoked
Bacon Butties ‘ – open on Brown for Brenda, with mugs of ‘PG Tips’ For our
supper this evening I’m making later ‘ Braised Steak in a Mushroom & Onion
Red Wine Sauce ‘ – the braising steak is sliced ‘top grade’ beef, with it we
are having finely sliced Green Beans, Carrot batons and Parsley New Potatoes.
Yesterday evening as Lee & Daniela
collected ‘ Reina’ they gave us a lift down to the surgery, as we had our
regular appointment with the Chiropodist, Carmen, just as they shot-off we
found a notice on the door telling us that she had broken her hand and therefore
was not available! We walked back and bumped into Adrian & Rose with
Scruffy outside ‘Bar Castillo’ – we stopped and had a cool drink with them, ‘
Scruffy’ is going to be with us one evening next week.
The sun was out early this morning and the
sky is clear & blue, there is a nice cool breeze, as forecast, so it’s
going to be a little cooler today, only 32 degs+ - the rest of the week is also
going cooler by the day, over the weekend it will be down to 27/28 degs! Next
week is now picking up and going back into the mid 30s, watch this space.

The ‘ Amazon Fire TV Stick ‘ on the BBC is
working again so we our catching up with the programmes that we have missed, we
have now seen the final episode of this year’s series of ‘Poldark ‘ – he will
return!! Ross flirted with danger ,what’s next for him and Demelza?! Sabotage,
suspicion and rebellion was the theme, the nasty George getting even nastier
before he broke down when Elizabeth threatened
to leave him. Demelza succumbed to her young admirer in the sand dunes but ended
up back in bed with Ross at the end?! The ‘ Frenchies’ were spotted on the
horizon, but didn’t arrive. The randy Vicar got his comeuppance! The local
yokels rebelled but were stopped by Ross before a massacre occurred, finally will
Ross become the MP in the next series, watch this space.
Meanwhile the coverage on BBC 1/2 has been
very comprehensive, to say the least, even over the top, last night about the ‘very
virulent’ Norovirus outbreak at the “ World Athletics Championships “ from
London.
