We had a little lie in this morning as the
village was very quiet, no church bells, no deliveries and no children playing,
for now, after showing we had our normal breakfast before sorting the week
ahead out. Today we are taking things easy, Brenda is popping along to the
Chemists in ‘Calle Mar ‘ for her prescription tablets.
Tomorrow it’s a National Bank Holiday in
Spain ‘ Assumption Day ‘ – one of the main religious days in the calendar. ‘Reina’
is due back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ for just Tuesday & Wednesday this
week, we have just had a nice surprise as ‘ Chispa’ came crashing in, she’s
back from her holidays down in the family ‘ Campo’
On Thursday we are going across to ‘Estepona
‘ I’m going to the Barbers, Manuel, for the full works and Brenda is going
retail shopping, we are then going along to the ‘ Carrefour Hypermarket’ for a
look around before calling into ‘ La Casa’ – we will be back in Estepona on
Sunday morning as we are going to the market down in the Marina for the new replacement
wall pots, on Friday I will be out on my travels, down to Sabinillas for the
weekly shopping, when no doubt Brenda will be joining me!
The sun is out and the sky is clearing,
there is a light breeze making it very pleasant, by lunchtime it will be 27/29
degs, the overnight temperature is hovering on the 21/22 mark, the week ahead and over the weekend is
getting a little warmer, into the low 30s, as you will have guessed next week
we are in for more of the same, warm & sunny, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having a
fry-up of the leftovers from last night’s ‘ Banquet’ – the rest of the week we are
taking one day at the time, watch this space.
Just a quick update on last night’s ‘Spanish
Super Cup ‘ first leg match, Real Madrid won 1-3, Barcelona were missing Neymar, who scored
on his debut for ‘PSG’ Ronaldo scored and then was sent off for
taking his shirt off and then ‘diving’ – as he was going off the pitch he
pushed the referee, which means that he could face a ban of up to 12 matches!!
Yesterday evening we managed to speak to
Sandra & Bill, on the Skype video, over in Canada, they were getting ready
for the ‘BBQ’ of the year, they have all
their family, friend & neighbours coming, Bill had just cut the grass (
half an acre! ) on his ‘sit-on’ mower and Sandra was preparing the Corn on the
Cob, the countdown to their visit is starting to get closer, we can’t wait to
meet up with them at the end of September, watch this space.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
