A VERY, VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 3rd/ AUGUST 2017.

We had a little lie in this morning as we are  ‘doggy-free’ until next Monday when little princess ‘ Reina’ is back with us for three days, ‘Chispa’ will be in & out all the time, as usual, she has a spring in her tail since her make-over yesterday, she was charging around like a mad dog! We had our usual breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea and then got the shopping list ready for tomorrows travels.

I then went down to the police station where the ‘ Chief of Police ‘ Paco confirmed that the car park is in use, I used the key to open the side door entrance and then tried the remote control, it worked to open the exit and entrance doors – ‘RESULT’

Only one problem, they have not numbered the parking spaces, somebody is in my space! I will park in the next space, for now!! When I came back up to the house I’m blocked in by two cars, at the moment, in the little square, I will wait and see for them to move and then get the car out, watch this space.

PS; At lunchtime the two cars left so I was able to get our car out, when one of neighbours moved his, I went down to garage in Sabinillas and washed the car in the jet wash, I then came back up the hill to the car park and I'm now parked in our spot ( no 100!) after a little difficulty with the remote control! " RESULT " !!

It’s already very hot & sunny, the sky is clear blue and there is no breeze, the temperature is 32 degs and by lunchtime it will be into the high 30s+ - the weekend is looking very warm & sunny and next week is going to be the same, getting a little cooler next weekend, watch this space.

This evening it’s the ‘ Chef’s & Staff ‘ night off so we are going along to ‘ Bar Castillo ‘ for a Tapas supper, later, after the sun starts to go down behind the mountains, the sun awnings along ‘ Calle Mar’ also make a big difference, we will sit in the shade and have a cool drink, taking in the sights, aromas & sounds, yesterday the Council workmen erected 4/5 small stages along the street in time for the ‘Noche Del Embrujo – Enchantment Evening ’ on Saturday, starting at 10-00 pm.

Tomorrow morning, fingers crossed, we will now be going down to Sabinillas in the car, for the weekly shopping, Brenda is joining me, for the first time in many months, she has plans to go shopping, I will meanwhile be in ‘ Mercadona’ doing the shopping, it’s the busiest time of the year, so it will be bedlam, watch this space!

We are then going along to ‘Puerto de la Duquesa’ to collect some dry-cleaning and then stock up at the  ‘ English Butchers’- on the way back we call into the local market at the far end of the promenade for the fresh flowers and more wall plants!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
