A BREEZY & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 1^st AUGUST 2017.

I was up first to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she’s now tucked in her duvet, we then freshened up before breakfast, ‘Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties ‘ – open on Brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong tea, as arranged Juan arrived on time to re-grout the main bathroom, he’s working away as I’m typing & posting the Blog.

Overnight the shutters started to rattle, there is a surprise breeze this morning which has made it a little cooler, yesterday afternoon the breeze was hot, it’s a little overcast but no doubt the sky will clear later, overall this week the temperatures are hovering in the mid 30s, over the weekend a little hotter, next week is also going to be another hot one, watch this space.

This evening for our supper we are having, on Brenda’s request, a choice of Omelette’s – Cheese for Brenda and Mushroom for me, with a nice Mixed salad and some twice-cooked ‘ Stringfellow Frits ‘ The rest of the week’s menus are TBC, watch this space.

We are taking things very easy this week after all the celebrations last week, Brenda is catching up with all the ‘ ings!’ – washing, drying, ironing, polishing, brushing, mopping etc. – meanwhile I’m up in the office/studio on the ‘ WWW’ catching up with all the news, via the online newspapers, Facebook messages, E-Mails etc. 

Just one more ‘Festival’ here in sunny Manilva , this Saturday’s “ Noche  del Embrujo “ 

Then for the rest of August it all happens down in Sabinillas, it’s the height of the holiday season, both Spanish & English, so there are Markets, Concerts, Tourist Days, Musicals, Children's games and at the end of the month their ‘Feria De San Luis De Sabinillas ‘

The ' Movistar ' engineers have just called at the house and they are installing the ' Fiber Optic' cables down our street next week, watch this space.  " RESULT " !!

Last night after supper we settled down to catch up with the latest episode of ‘ Poldark ‘ – bigamy has never looked so romantic, shenanigans aplenty, medical censored marital relations, a pining blacksmith, a young ‘generous’ sister with naked toes! Confused politics, ‘ Demelza ‘  want’s to be with two people, nasty George tried to find out from the Doctor about premature babies, as he became the local MP, Elizabeth gave ‘Poldark’ a look of everlasting love- which he returned! ‘Morwenna’ didn’t die in childbirth, the greasy vicar was in top form, wet nurses and no breastfeeding, the brother preacher was tempted by the local ‘ good time -roll in the hay’ girl, no bare ( men’s) chests this week.

It’s all down to this week’s final episode on Sunday, war and fire and an amorous  vicar, Evil George asking: “ Is he my son?! “ Demelza holding hands, and Poldark crying on his own bed?  We will need the laudanum to survive, watch this space.
