A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY ON THE " NOCHE DEL EMBRUJO FESTIVAL "

SATURDAY 5th/ AUGUST 2017.

We managed a little lie in this morning before the delivery vans arrived at the top of the street, they drag the goods down on pallets, to our local shop, we had another hot night, very close & sticky, with not much sleep, after freshening up we had our usual breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea.

We are taking things easy today as this evening we are going along to ‘Bar Castillo’ for a Tapas supper before the ‘ Noche Del Embrujo’ starts at 10-00 pm ish!

We are quiet in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ this weekend, little princess ‘ Reina’ is back with us on Monday, for just three days, as usual ‘ Chispa’ is in & out all the time.

Today has started warm & sunny, the sky has cleared and it’s getting hotter, by the hour, by lunchtime it will be in the mid 30s, tomorrow it’s the same, next week is now looking very warm & settled, a little cooler but on Wednesday it’s going to be back in the high 30s/ low 40s! Inland Spain is very hot, in parts in the mid 40s, in Sevilla yesterday it reached 42 degs*! Watch this space.

As we are out, later this evening, we are having a ‘ Soft Brunch’ to set us up for the weekend ahead, ‘ ‘Campo’ Fried Eggs, crispy Smoked Bacon, English Pork Sausage, Chorizo, Tomato, Mushroom and Sauteed Potatoes’ On Sunday evening it’s going to be ‘ Grilled Fillet Steaks ‘ with all the trimmings, next week we are taking it one day at the time, watch this space.

See below the ' Soft Brunch ' - the 'Full Hard Brunch ' has the addition of Lamb Chops, Gammon, Steak & Baked Beans !!

Last night we made contact, pre-arranged, on the Skype video, with our very dear, old friends, Sandra & Bill, over in Canada, they live outside Toronto( 1 hour ) in a small town in the country, Everett, we had a long catch up with all their news, they read all ours from the Blog! It’s now only 50 days until they arrive in Spain, at Madrid Airport, on the 24th September ( my birthday!) – then 1 week later they are due to arrive down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ in sunny Manilva! We can’t wait to meet up with them!

See below some pictures of their back garden!

Last night we watched on the Spanish ‘ TDP’ sports channel the opening events from the ‘ World Athletics Championships’ from the Olympic Stadium in London, our BBC I-Player on the ‘Amazon Fire TV Stick’ is not working, Usain Bolt went through to the next round in the 100m heats, the final is this evening, his last race as he is retiring, in the final of the 10,000m Mo Farah won for the third consecutive time, in a very exciting, brutal race, he tripped twice in the final laps as the Kenyans, the Ethiopians and the Ugandans teamed up against him. The 5,000m heats start on Wednesday, it will be Mo Farahs last track race as he is going to race on the roads in the future.

PS; This mornings visitor berthed at the Pier Head in Liverpool ! " Ziuderdam "
