A VERY, VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 8th/ AUGUST 2017.

I was up first this morning to see little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot upstairs onto  the bed for a little lie in before we got up, she’s’ back with us on Wednesday for the day, we then freshened ourselves up and had our usual breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea.

It was then time to go up to ‘Calle Mar’ to watch out for Vic to arrive, he was on time in a brand new car, a ‘Hybrid’ Toyota Cruiser ( Hire Car) He introduced us to his wife Sue and his son Ben, we then went along to ‘ Bar Castillo’ for a coffee and fresh orange Juice, we then started to catch up with all their news as the last time we saw Vic he was a young boy.

They still live in the ‘Isle of Man ‘ and Vic is in the business of financial management for a private company/individual. We then caught up with all his family news, his mother Val still also lives in the ‘ Isle of Man’- we have know her and her late Husband Victor( Ferns) for nearly 50 years from our time back at the ‘ Bridge Inn’ in Port Sunlight’ on the Wirral before we were married! They were part of the ‘ Saturday’ lunchtime set on ‘Moet Chandon’ Victor’s sister Stella and Bill Llyod-Jones and their family were great friends over the years.

We then came back to our house for a nice ‘ chilled’ bottle of Cava to welcome then to sunny Manilva.

See the picture below, there is a ‘ Selfie ‘ coming later, taken by Vic, our first ‘Selfie’! Watch this space.

After more catching up we then went back to ‘ Bar Castillo ‘ for a light Tapas lunch, Ben, their son is into fish, as Peel Harbour is near where they live, he had the deep-fried ‘ Boquerones ‘ and I ordered a large selection of various ‘Tapas’ for them to taste, which they enjoyed. I was then time for them to make their way back to their apartment past Marbella. We can’t wait to see them the next time they are down on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – it was so nice meeting them after so long, the last time we saw ‘Victor Jnr ‘ was when he was his sons age!! Very many happy memories & times of life back then with all the ‘ Ferns ‘ family.

Today the sun was out very early and the sky was bright blue, there is a little warm breeze making it by lunchtime in the high 30s+/ low 40s. In some places inland its now nearly 50 degs – 122F!! Tomorrow and over the next few days into the weekend it’s going a little cooler, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are going to find something in the fridge, keeping it simple.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
