A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 1st/ JULY 2018.      “ CANADA DAY “

We had a nice lie in this morning before the Church Bells started ringing, calling the ‘faithful’ to mass, we had a quick freshen up and then went out with ‘ Paddy’ for his first walk of the day, keeping to the shady side of the street on the way down to the bottom of the village, he loves his morning walk and pulls to let us know where he wants to go, overnight he slept on the marble floor, before joining us on the bed, he kept a low-profile as we were in the bathroom, he dosen’t want another bath/shower just yet!

When we returned we had our normal light breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea, I’m now up in the office/studio catching up with all the news, reading the online newspapers, E-Mails etc, before typing/ posting today’s Blog.

The sun was out early this morning and the sky has cleared in already bright blue, there is slight breeze, making it very pleasant in the shade, by lunchtime it will be 28/29 degs+ - next week is forecast to be very hot & sunny, going warmer each day, by mid-week into the mid 30s, then hovering in the low 30s over next weekend, watch this space.

See below a different view of the ‘Bay of Colwyn’ over in North Wales.

And then on Sunday !

Just a quick update on the sports results;  Caroline Wozniaki won the ‘Tennis’ at Eastbourne,  Lewis Hamilton is second on the grid for today’s ‘Grand Prix of Austria’ – Argentina & Portugal lost at the ‘World Cup Football’ in Russia – today Croatia play Denmark & Spain play Russia!

At lunchtime we are going along to the local ‘Rotisserie’ to pick up the ‘Roast Chicken’ for this evenings supper, we having it with a selection of Salads, Eggs (Campo) Tomatoes, Beetroot, Green Bean (French) Crispy Coz Lettuce etc, with warm Parsley New Potatoes.

We stopped at ' Bar Ocaña ' for a cool drink and ended up have some of their excellent 'Tapas '  sat under the umbrellas in the very hot sunshine.

Over in Canada this weekend Sandra & Bill in Everett, Ontario, are having a ‘at home’ day, catching up with the chores around the house, it’s the ‘Bank Holiday Weekend’ – for “ Canada Day “ -  ‘ Happy 151st Anniversary ‘ – Have a ‘Helluva’ Day anyway!!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
