A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 9th/ JULY 2018.

I was up early this morning to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, the only one this week, due to shift changes with the folks, she shot upstairs onto her duvet, ‘Prince Paddy’ & ‘Chico’ were still fast asleep! Last night they both shot under the bed as we went upstairs, and stayed there all night, on the marble floor, as usual, this morning ‘Paddy’ joined us on the bed, ‘Chico’ arrived early yesterday afternoon and they soon made friends, they are both very settled & content, ‘ Chico’ knows our routine, when we went for our early evening walk last night, ‘Chispa’ joined us, so we ‘ Small ( Paddy) Medium (Chispa) & Large’ (Chico)!

No rest for the ‘ Wicked’ this morning as our next-door neighbour, Anna’ has the builders in, they started knocking at 8-00 am and have not stopped since ( 12-00 noon!) – and still are!!

This morning we took ‘Paddy & Chico’ for their first walk of the day, on the shady side of the street, when we returned I made for our breakfast ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of tea, ‘Reina’ & Chico’ line up for their little ‘ tasters’ – Paddy is not interested, and waits for his first meal of the day, later! On Wednesday evening we have another new dog, ‘Maisie’ coming to see us, she could be with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ – for a week’s holiday, at the start of August, watch this space.

We are in for another even hotter week, as the ‘Sahara Heat Wave’ comes across the Mediterranean,  the sun was out early and the sky is clear and bright blue, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 30 degs+ - with just a very slight breeze, the rest of the week and over the weekend is going get warmer each day, into the low 40s at times, during the night hovering on the 21/22 degs mark, watch this space.

See below the ‘Dutch’ cruise liner the “ MS Prinsenden “ berthed at the Pier Head, over in Liverpool, this weekend.

On the sports front today; it’s the start of the second week of the Tennis at Wimbledon, over at the ‘ Tour de France’ – Stage 3 is the ‘ Team Time Trial ‘ over 35 kms around Cholet, this year down to 8 riders, normally 9, the ‘World Champion’ Peter Sagan ( the Slovak) won Stage 2 to take the overall race leaders ‘Yellow Jersey’

For this evening supper we are still keeping the menu as simple as possible, Cold, Sliced  ‘ Poached Chicken ’ with finely sliced  ‘French ‘ Green Beans & twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ with  ‘ Hellman’s Mayonnaise ‘ on the side! The rest of the week we are taking one day at the time, on Thursday’ it’s the ‘Head Chef’s & Staff ‘ night off, watch this space.

On this morning’s ‘ Breakfast Show’ on ‘Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ Andrew Charles, as he was about to play this morning’s ‘Sir Malcolm’s Horizontal Dancing’ track, sent his regards to ‘ Sir’ Malcolm & ‘Lady ‘ Brenda, and promised, again that I will be back, soon, on air, live, with my ‘Classic Show’ Watch this space.

This evening we will be channel hopping to find something to watch, as it’s more ‘ World Cup Football ‘ from Russia on Tuesday/Wednesday with the two semi-finals, watch this space.
