I was up early this morning to welcome back
little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, she should have been with us on Thursday/Friday
this week but due to a change of work rotas she here today and then back on Thursday!
As usual she shot upstairs onto her duvet, ‘Paddy’ spent the night on the floor and then
came on the bed this morning for his first cuddles, we then all had a nice lie
in before getting the day/week on the go.
After freshening up we took ‘Paddy’ out for
his first walk of the day, keeping to the shady side of the street down to the ‘Mirador’
– when we returned ‘ Chispa’ was waiting for us outside our front door, the
other day she came for a walk with us, not on a lead, she’s very good and just
followed us everywhere, we then all had our breakfasts, a ‘ treat’ for ‘Paddy’ –
a slice of ‘Pavo’ for ‘Chispa’- a piece of toast for ‘Reina’ and we had our
normal ‘Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea!
This week we have no appointments until
Friday morning, when Brenda is down at the main ‘ Medical Centre’ for her
appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for her review/check up, I will drop her
off and then carry on my travels to ‘Mercadona’ for our weekly shopping, Brenda
will then catch up with me, as she did last week. The following week we have
two appointments, Brenda at the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ with the ‘ Kidney
Consultant ‘ for her six month review and I’m going across to the local
Hospital in Estepona for my appointment with the ‘ Trauma Consultant’ for my
six-week review on my hand. Watch this space.
This morning the sun was out early and the
sky is bright blue, there is a very pleasant light breeze making it just right
in the shade, by lunchtime reaching 30/31 degs+ then as the week goes on it’s
getting hotter, 33 degs tomorrow and so on! 36degs+ is on the horizon, next
week is even going to be warmer, in the high 30s all week, watch this space.
PS; Over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, over
the ‘Bank Holiday Weekend’ the folks have been sweltering in the high humidity
at 35 degs+!
On Saturday at the ‘Armed Forces Day’ in
Llandudo, North Wales, on a glorious sunny day the ‘Battle of Britain Memorial
Flight’ did a ‘ fly-past’ – see below pictures of the ‘ Avro Lancaster Bomber’
and the ‘ Supermarine Spitfire’ as well as a ‘ Eurofighter Typhoon’ showing it’s
paces!
Just a quick update on the sports results;
Lewis Hamilton Mercedes car broke down
as did his team mates, at the ‘Austrian Grand Prix’ -hopefully all will be fixed
for this week’s ‘ British Grand Prix’ at Silverstone, at the ‘ World Cup
Football ‘ in Russia, both matches went to a penalty shoot-out, Croatia won against Denmark and sadly Spain
lost to Russia, the end of ‘ Tika-Taka’ football! Today it’s Brazil v Mexico
& Belgium v Japan, also it’s the start of ‘ Wimbledon’ today – with no Andy Murray due to injury.
Lastly, this week on Saturday the “ Tour De
France “ starts, with Chris Froome, still the favourite, the anti-doping case,
against him, has just been dropped by cycling’s governing body! Watch this
space.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘Chicken
n’ Chips’ again, in the basket! The rest of the week we are taking one day at
the time on the menu planning, on Thursday it’s the regular day-off for the ‘
Head Chef & Staff ‘ – we will be going along to ‘ Bar Castillo ‘ for our ‘Tapas’
supper, as Juan has re-opened, after their holidays, this morning!
On ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on
the WWW’ on the ‘Breakfast Show’ – each morning,
with Andrew Charles, he has now a regular spot each morning featuring “ ‘ Sir’ Malcolm Sextons Horizontal Dancing “ which
I introduced on my ‘live’ show, when I played a ‘ dance-track’ for those
listeners still in bed! The first track ever was ‘Tiger Feet’ by Mud!! This
morning’s was ‘ The Beatles’ – I Saw Her
Standing There ‘
One day hopefully I will be back on air ‘
live’ broadcasting, from my studio/office, with my ‘Sir Malcolm’s Classic
Session’ playing all my favourite tracks, watch this space.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
