We were up early this morning, after a
little lie in, we took ‘Prince Paddy & Chico’ for their first walk of the day,
we then grabbed a quick light breakfast of toast & tea before freshening ourselves
up, after settling them both down, we headed off along the coast road to the ‘
Costa Del Sol Hospital’ past Marbella, for Brenda’s appointment with the ‘Kidney
Consultant’ for her six-month review/check up.
It’s the hottest day so far this year, even
warmer as you head along the coast, so by lunchtime it’s was due to reach 33
degs + - the rest of the week is getting warmer each day as the ‘Sahara Heat
Wave’ hits us! Watch this space.
We had a little wait to see the Consultant,
not the regular Lady, for the past few years, he was very efficient and gave
Brenda the full check-over as well as going through her notes and confirming all
her various medication tablets, which he adjusted later, all her reading/results
are very good, she is showing a stable recovery, with her blood readings
improved, her cholesterol levels fine, her Heart readings improved and the
diabetic levels down, which all means that he has put her on a 10 month
review/check up, not 6 as usual!
What a “ RESULT “
We then came back along the coast to a very
sunny Manilva where ‘Paddy & Chico’ were delighted to see us, in fact they both
had ‘ Mad’ moments running around, we then went along to ‘ Bar Castillo ‘ for a
nice cool drink, to celebrate, at this time of the day the Bar is on the shady
side of the street, both dogs had a nice cool drink, out of ‘ Chico’s’ collapsible
water mug! We had a small selection of light ‘Tapas’ – then our friend Andy
came along and joined us, it was his day-off, he’s now the ‘ Night Manager’ of
the ‘ Manilva Green Aparthotel’
Then Carlos joined us, it was his day-off
from ‘La Taberna 2 ‘ where he is the ‘Duty Manager’ – he had been playing golf
with his Boss, the owner of also, ‘Marlow’s Fish & Chip Shop’ – some other
Spanish friends/locals joined in, so it ended up being a ‘ Session’ !! We came
home feeling no pain and had a nice ‘ Siesta’ – which we needed!
For now that’s today’s Blog – back to
normal tomorrow.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
