A GREY & OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 20th/ FEBRUARY 2017.

I was up early this morning to see little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot into her duvet and we all had a little lie in, she’s back with us on Wednesday morning and for the rest of the week, she will be joined by the ‘ Swedish’ ladies ‘Labrador & Jack Russell’ who are with us for three days until Friday evening, ‘ Chispa’ joined us for breakfast this morning, ‘Doggy World Heaven’ in full swing!

We had ‘ Smoked Bacon Butties’ for our breakfast with mugs of steaming tea, later I’m making another batch of my famous ‘ Tomato Salsa’ to go away in the deep freeze for another day, we sorted our week ahead out, tomorrow we are going across to the hospital, again, I have my appointment with the ‘ Prostrate Consultant’ – on Friday morning Brenda is going down to the local surgery for her appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for a  check up and update on all her results, I’m out on my travels on Saturday morning for the weekly shopping down in Sabinillas.

Overnight it’s rained a little, yesterday we in fact got away with the wet stuff, it stayed dry for most of the day, the strong winds, offshore, whipped up some very choppy weather along the coast and the promenade, it’s being repaired at the moment after the floods & storms back in the beginning of December, it’s grey & overcast with clouds and a little breeze, damp is in the air, it’s the same tomorrow with a heavy cloud cover but then it’s back to normal with sunshine for the rest of the week and over next weekend, mostly, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the ‘ Roast Shoulder of Lamb’ with a fry-up of the leftover Vegetables and the  ‘Boulangerem’ Potatoes. Tomorrow night we are keeping it simple ‘ Grilled Chicken Fillets ‘ and then for the rest of the week we will hit the deep freeze, watch this space.

Yesterday evening after supper we settled down to watch this first episode of  ‘SS-GB’ on BBC TV, it’s based on a novel by Len Deighton, it started with a spectacular, explosive, opening sequence setting the story up, only one problem, they used an incorrect ‘Spitfire’ - the one showed was not introduced until 1943, the tale is in 1941! The dialogue was also hard to hear, poor sound quality and ‘ mumbling ‘ actors, despite all this it’s going to be very gripping, the main character is a Detective in the ‘Met’ working under the brutal ‘SS’ in occupied London, the resistance movement fights on, the first murder investigation is already suspicious, there are three ‘ Femme Fatales’ all involved with the Detective, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
