A CRISP & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 25th/ FEBRUARY 2017.

I was up early this morning and shot out on my travels down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, I called into the ‘ English Bookshop ‘ for the local newspapers and then ‘hit’ ‘Mercadona’ for our main shopping list, on the way back I called into ‘ Super Sol ‘ for the English essentials before shooting back up the hill through the vine fields. ’Chispa’ has just called in to see us but has missed all her friends.

This morning the sun was out early and the sky was bright blue with no clouds as a stiff breeze has come along making it crisp & sunny down on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ Tomorrow it’s going to be a little warmer and next week is looking fine & settled with warm sunshine, next weekend there could possibly be some of the wet stuff, watch this space.

This evening for our supper we are having a large ‘ Grilled Entrecote Steak’ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ then left to rest before slicing it ‘ French’ style into fingers, served with ‘ Bearnaise’ sauce, finely sliced Green Beans and of course twice-cooked ‘ Frits ‘ Tomorrow evening we are going to pick up a Roast Chicken from the ‘ Rotisserie’ in Calle Mar.

A busy weekend on the sports front; over in the ‘ Premiere League ‘ Everton welcome Sunderland and Liverpool travel to Leicester, meanwhile over here in ‘ La Liga ‘ Atletico Madrid welcome Barcelona and Real Madrid are in Villarreal. In the ‘ Six Nations Rugby Union’ Scotland welcome Wales & Ireland are at home to France, tomorrow England welcome Italy. This afternoon the ‘ National Hunt Racing ‘ is from Kempton Park, Lingfiled Park & Newcastle.

This evening after supper we will watch the final episode of ‘ Taboo ‘ on BBC TV, then channel hop to find a good film to watch, we are considering having a ‘ Black Box ‘ installed by a friend from ‘Puerto de la Duquesa’ which gives you all the main  terrestrial channels, film &  sports channels, Sky and many more options, it will take over from my ‘PC’ connection and only costs 85 Euros as a ‘one off’ payment with no other monthly  payments, Andrew recommended it, it’s his friend Pete Black who has a spot on ‘ Castle Radio FM’ and also plays in his band, who comes and installs the system, all the reports from other locals down on the coast are very good, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
