A GREY & OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 17^th/ FEBRUARY 2017.

I was up early this morning and after seeing ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she’s back with us for 4 days next week as I have my appointment with the ‘ Prostrate Consultant’ on Tuesday morning across at the Hospital, also on Wednesday morning we have two dogs joining us here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ - belonging to two local Swedish ladies – a Labrador & a Jack Russell, they are here for three days until Friday evening.

I called first thing into the local surgery to make an appointment for Brenda to see our Doctor, Natalia, to update her with all the results, I then carried down to Sabinillas for the main shop in ‘ Mercadona’ before collecting the local newspapers from the ‘ English Bookshop’ – on the way back up the hills I stopped at ‘ Super Sol’ for the ‘ English’ essentials, after un-packing back at the house and putting the car away in the underground car park I popped along ‘ Calle Mar’ to the local bank to pay the electricity bill.

This morning its grey & overcast with a cold stiff breeze, the forecast is for sun all day so we will have to wait and see, over the weekend and at the start of next week we are in for a very wet & cold windy snap! The ‘ Atlantic’ front is staying around but it’s due to pick up on Tuesday, watch this space.

We have just spoken to our dear friend Joyce, from Chester, she’s over here ‘ House Sitting ‘ for some friends in their grand villa outside ‘ Alhauarin el Grande’ in the hills above Marbella, her house is in the centre of the town, the villa is next to the late Rick Parfitt’s ( Status Quo ) villa, we are going up to see her tomorrow lunchtime as we have not caught up her for quite a while, we will have a good catch up and gossip, as well as a spot on lunch! Watch this space.

This evening for our supper we are having a whole ‘ Baked Rodaballo – Turbut ‘ which I bought this morning in the Fish Market, they have taken the Black Skin off as well as gutting it for me, I will garnish the fillets, after taking them off the bone after baking,with some large Gambas, cooking them ‘a la plancha’ with Sea Salt! We will have Garden Peas and Parsley New Potatoes and lots of Lemon Wedges! Our ' Steak Night' on Saturday, has been cancelled, on Sunday we are having ' Roast Shoulder of New Zealand ( South Island ) Lamb with ' Boulangere Potatoes ' 

This afternoon/evening we are going to watch the various ‘Quiz Shows’ – ‘ Countdown, Pointless, Eggheads, Mastermind and Only Connect’ – later we will channel hop.
