SUNDAY 12th/ FEBRUARY 2017.
We all had a nice lie in this morning, ‘Reina’
slept on the bed with us, she’s wrapped in a warm blanket in between us and
does not move, you have to wake her up in the morning, she then goes into her
duvet on the settee down in the lounge, she’s being collect at lunchtime, Lee
& Daniela were out for a family birthday party last night, she’s back with
us for four days next week, for breakfast this morning we had Brenda’s famous ‘
Poached Eggs on Toast ‘ with mugs of steaming tea, it’s an ‘at home’ day today. See below;
Overnight we have had heavy showers and
this morning it’s still very grey & overcast, a little cooler, the forecast
is for more heavy rain later, this weather is with us for the next 2/3 days
before it settles down for the rest of the week and over next weekend, back to
normal for this time of the year, watch this space. See below;
Next week we are out on Wednesday afternoon
at the ‘ Costa del Sol Hospital’ past Marbella as Brenda has two appointments,
first with the ‘ Heart’ Consultant and then a little later with the ‘ Kidney’
Consultant, fingers crossed for good results, the following week it’s my turn
as I have an appointment with the ‘ Prostrate’ Consultant on Tuesday morning, hopefully
the result of my ‘ MRI’ scan is positive, watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Medallions of Pork Fillet ‘ served with a ‘ Charcutiere’ sauce, my
famous sharp/piquant salsa made with sliced Gherkins & Onions, Wine Vinegar,
Mustard, Beef Stock, the ‘ Vegetable Chef’ is preparing Glazed Carrot Batons
& Whole Green Beans and Boiled New Potatoes, I will then dice them, this
evening, and sauté them with diced Onions & Red Peppers ‘ Breton’ style; tomorrow
evening we are going to have ‘ Pork Schnitzels ‘ served on ‘ Spaghetti Milanese
‘
Just a quick update on the football results;
Everton managed a 0-0 draw & Liverpool finally played with style &
passion and won 2-0, meanwhile over here Barcelona won 0-6 & Real Madrid
won 1-3.
After supper we settled down to watch the
next episode of ‘ Taboo ‘ on BBC TV as the body count piled up! Two major
characters & various others, the main characters half-sister, played by the
very watchable Oona Chaplin, stabbed her abusive husband with a long hat pin,
through the heart, she then ended up ‘ copulating ‘ with her lover ( and half
brother) – then at the very end and much more tragically the prostitutes young
daughter was found dead?!
Also another man was stabbed and his heart
removed, while another one ended up left for dead in a confessional booth with
his tongue ripped out!! A ship was blown up and the gunpowder was delivered, two
more episodes to come, watch this space.
