A GREY & OVERCAST START TO WEDNESDAY IN SUNNY MANILVA.

WEDNESDAY 22nd/ FEBRUARY 2017.

We were both up early this morning and after a quick freshen up we welcomed the two new dogs to ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ – ‘Nemia’- the Golden Labrador & ‘Leo’ - the Jack Russell  – they are with us until Friday evening, then ‘ Reina’ arrived for the day and shot into her duvet, they have all settled down and later we will take the two new dogs for a walk, they have found their way around and had their first drink as well as a treat. See below;

After breakfast we sorted ourselves out, we are taking things easy after yesterday’s news, tomorrow I’m out for my ‘ ECG’ down at the surgery and then have to go across to the local Hospital in Estepona for my ‘ X-Ray, on Friday Brenda has her appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for her review/check up, I will be out on my travels on Saturday morning down in Sabinillas for the weekly shopping.

Yesterday evening we had two/three major power cuts, the local ‘Mains Transformer’ had problems and the whole area was hit, we are used to small cuts but these lasted a lot longer, we had to get the candles out and sit on the settee like ‘ Derby & Joan’ – holding hands in the dark! All back to normal, for now, during the night we had a power surge, we think, as the ‘TV’ turned itself on?! It happened the other night, also, watch this space!

It’s overcast & grey at the moment, the breeze has dropped and it’s mild out, I have just been along to the Chemists in Calle Mar for some of my prescription tablets, the forecast is for the sun to break through later, tomorrow is looking damp but then on Friday and over the weekend into next week we are back to normal, warm & sunny down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol ‘ Watch this space.

See below the Pier Head in Liverpool this morning with the ‘Ferry Across the Mersey’ arriving!

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Pan Seared Calves Liver ‘ – dusted in seasoned flour, with Grilled Pork Sausages & Crispy Smoked Bacon, I’m making a rich Red Wine Onion & Mushroom Gravy to go with the Liver, the ‘ Vegetable Chef’ has prepared her famous ‘ Mashed Potato’ with Glazed Carrot Batons & Cabbage with Acelgas ( Chard )

We are going to have the ' Mashed Potato' tomorrow evening as we found a large dish of ' Boulangere Potatoes' for the evening, tomorrow it's going to be ' Toad in the Hole '

No sight or sound of the ‘ Moffatts’ on their travels, will they make it down here to sunny Manilva?! See below;

This afternoon/evening we will be watching the various Quiz Shows and then later we will catch the ‘ Brit Awards’- all the new series are starting over the next couple of weeks.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
