A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 4^th / MAY 2017.

We were both up again this morning, early, Brenda grabbed a quick shower and I saw ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, as usual she shot into her duvet, we had our normal breakfast of toast & tea and then got things on the go for this evenings supper, ‘ Chispa ‘ came calling to see her friend, meanwhile I shot off down to the surgery for my appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for a review/check up, I need a new Blood test etc, it two weeks time, so she can update all my records and check out the results.

The sun was out early this morning and the sky had cleared by the time I was on my way, the light breeze has dropped so it’s very pleasant in the warm sunshine, tomorrow the threat of some of the wet stuff is still forecast but then over the weekend and all of next week it’s getting hotter by the day, watch this space.

See below some pictures of the newly refurbished ‘ Lime Street Station’ opposite ‘ St. Georges Hall ‘ in Liverpool this morning and yesterday evening.

While I was out the ‘ Vegetable Chef ‘ had prepared Cabbage with Acelgas, Crushed Carrots & Turnips, Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a three Cheese sauce, Garden Peas and her famous Mashed Potato as well as ‘ turning ‘ the potatoes for the ‘ Fondant Potatoes ‘ When I returned I got the ‘ Roast Loin of Pork ‘ ( Salted & Lime Juice ) into the oven with the ‘ Mixed Herb Stuffing’ – I then ‘ coloured ‘ the potatoes in foaming Butter before placing them in the dish and topping  them up with a rich ‘Chicken & Vegetable’ stock, ready to bake in the oven this evening. I then made my famous ‘ finger licking ‘ Pan Gravy ‘

Andy is joining us for supper, we are having assorted ‘Tapas’ to start and Ogen Melon with local Strawberries for the dessert.

Up in Madrid, Tim & Thea have meet up with Jo , on the way to the ferry home , later in the month, they are spending some time with her, yesterday they went on the bus to beautiful city of Segovia, see the pictures below;

Yesterday evening when ‘Lee & Daniela’ picked ‘Reina’ up they tried the ‘ Amazon Fire TV Stick’ in our TV, it worked, they also checked out the ‘’ Jazztel Internet “ system at the same time, they are now setting up all the ‘ Apps ‘ etc on the ‘Stick’ as well as setting up the necessary accounts. The large PC is still connected and so last night we watched the football via ' First Row Sports' as normal.

Lee is going to install all the systems on Sunday afternoon, he’s then joining us for supper, ‘Roast Leg of Lamb’ with all the trimmings, Daniela is away for the weekend with her sister, over from England, and some girl friends for a ‘Girls Weekend ‘ in Torremolinos.

We are catching up with our reading and watching lots of films on the various ‘ Spanish’  channels that we can watch in English by pressing the ‘ translate’ button!
