A VERY CLOSE & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

SUNDAY 23rd / MAY 2017.

I was up early this morning to welcome back ‘ Reina’ for the day, we then managed a little lie for all of us before breakfast, Brenda shot down to our local sub-post office to post a birthday card, when she returned I made ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ smothered in ‘ HP ‘Sauce – open for Brenda, with mugs of strong tea. ‘ Chispa’ has already been in to see her friend and us.

This morning, as forecast, has started a little overcast & cloudy, the sun is breaking through at the moment, there is no breeze so it’s already warm, by lunchtime it will be in the mid 20s, in inland ‘Andaluicia’ it will be 35/37 degs! Over the next few days and into the weekend it’s more of the same, overnight is also staying warm, next week is due to get even hotter, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Pan-Seared Calves Liver’ dusted in seasoned flour and cooked ‘ Pink ‘ in foaming Lemon Butter, with Crispy Smoked Bacon ( More!) Grilled English Pork Sausages & Button Mushrooms, The ‘ Vegetables Chef’ is preparing her famous ‘ Mashed Potato’ – Cabbage with Alcelgas, both fresh from our local farm shop ( the ex-Mayors ‘Campo’) that she picked up when she was out earlier, and glazed  Carrot Batons, I will make, later, a rich Onion & Shallot Red Wine Gravy.

Tomorrow I’m making my famous “ Chicken, Mushroom & Ham ‘Tarragon’ Pie “ which we have not had for a while. Watch this space.

Mano & Anna called in yesterday afternoon for a good chat & gossip, it was Mano’s night off, this afternoon the Mayor’s son, Mario, is back with us for his ‘English’ practise/speaking lesson.

Yesterday afternoon & evening we watched on ‘BBC TV 1&2’  their  excellent coverage of this year’s ‘ Chelsea Flower Show ‘ after following our usual Quiz Shows, ‘Pointless & Eggheads’ etc.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
