A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 7th/ MAY 2017.  “ SPANISH MOTHERS DAY “

We had a little lie in this morning and after a quick cup of tea & toast got the ‘ Sunday Roast’ preparation on the go. ‘ Chispa’ has been calling in all over the weekend, up in ‘Calle Mar’ in front of the Town Hall there is a small stage and the children’s bouncy castles set up ready for the end of the ‘ Feria del Perro ‘ later.

See Below.

That's our street on the left of the building, you can also see ' Chispa' who followed me!

We have another glorious day down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun is out, the sky is bright blue and there is no breeze, it’s going to be a ‘ hot one’ today, 24 degs & rising, next week is mixed, warm and sunny to start then the forecast is for some of the wet stuff  from Wednesday/Friday, before it picks up again, over the weekend, back to normal for the time of the year, warm and sunny, watch this space.

The ‘ Vegetable Chef’ has prepared ‘ Broccoli & Cauliflower Florets in a Three Cheese sauce ( Mild Cheddar, Gouda & Parmesan ) – Cabbage with Acelgas ( Swiss Chard ) Glazed Carrot Batons & Garden Peas, meanwhile the ‘ Head Chef ‘ was preparing ‘ Boulangere Potatoes ‘ -  Hand sliced ( 3 different thickness’s) layers of  seasoned Potatoes & Onions, then topped with a rich Vegetable & Chicken stock, ready to go in the oven, to bake this evening.

Before this I put the ‘ Leg of New Zealand, South Island, Lamb’ – studded with Garlic Cloves & Rosemary, into roast in a hot oven, resting on a bed of ‘ Trivets’ ( all the ends of the vegetables etc ) – then I made my famous ‘ finger licking ‘ Pan Gravy’ in the roasting tray, using a strong Vegetable stock, seasoning and not forgetting the ‘ Gravy Browning ‘!

Just a quick update on the football results from yesterday; Manchester City won 5-0, Everton lost 1-0, over here in ‘La Liga’ Barcelona won 4-1 & Real Madrid won 0-4 so no change at the top.

See below a picture from back in 1985 of us on the Helipad at the  “ Hotel Seventy Degrees “  in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, with Anneka Rice, when the ‘ Treasure Hunt ‘ programme was broadcast & filmed from our hotel, happy days & memories.

This afternoon we are going up to ‘ Bar Rojas ‘ for a nice cool drink, later Lee is joining us for supper, he’s going to set up and install the new ‘ Amazon Fire TV Stick ‘ system onto our large screen TV, with all the add-ons, he will then show me how to use the system, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
