We had another nice lie in this morning as
the village is very quiet, the ‘Bank Holiday’ here is celebrated as ‘ Labour
Day – May Day’ over in the UK. We had our usual breakfast of toast, fresh fruit
and tea, ‘ Chispa’ came calling just as we finished, she’s been in & out
all weekend, ‘Reina’ is back with us from tomorrow morning here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ for four
days this week.
On Tuesday morning I’m taking the car in
for a check up to our local garage, on Wednesday morning Brenda is going down
on the bus to Sabinillas as she has an appointment at her Hairdressers for the
full works, then on Thursday morning I’m down at the surgery for a check
up/review with our Doctor, Natalia, in the evening our friend Andy is joining
us for supper, he did some work on the computer system the other day, as usual
on Friday morning I’m out on my travels for the weekly shopping, then on
Saturday morning I’m taking our Swedish friend, Lillemor, across to the airport
in Malaga for her flight home to Gothenburg, finally on Sunday we are planning
to go out for lunch at our favourite restaurant ‘ Kokomo ‘
We have a glorious sunny day down here on
the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun broke through earlier, the sky has cleared and
there is just a light breeze, by lunchtime it will be 20 degs and the forecast
for the rest of the week and over the weekend is for more of the same, getting
a little warmer each day, hovering in the low 20s, watch this space.
At lunchtime we went up to ' Bar Castillo ' for a cool drink & Tapas, we sat in the warm sunshine taking in the sights, sounds and aromas of sunny Manilva, we joined a Swedish friend, Axel, and then two English friends came along.

This evening for our supper we are having ‘
Escalopes of Pork Schnitzels’ – using breadcrumbs from our local Bakery, I cook
them on the Griddle Plate, then I finish them ‘ Holstein’ style – coated with a Lemon & Parsley Butter
salsa, topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg
criss-crossed with Anchovy Fillets & Capers, on the side we are having ‘ Spaghetti
Milanese ‘- tossed in my famous Tomato Sauce with strips of Smoked Ham, and
finally sliced Green Beans and lots of Lemon Wedges!

Last night after supper we settled down to
watch the final episode of ‘ Line of Duty ‘ – Guns blazing, plot twisted to perfection, it went
out with a bang, but leaving loose ends to be wrapped up in the next series!
A “
Balaclava Man ‘ was shot, it turned out that there are more than one, anonymous
pawns, used by a gangland overlord at his bidding! Most of the action took
place in the main office of ‘AC-12’ – a trademark interview taking up nearly
half the episode, the team had chased down all the clues & evidence and
finally put the case together.
‘
Roz’ the lady detective played by Thandie Newton, confessed to the killing of
her colleague, manslaughter, as it was an accident in self defence, her
solicitor who she had asked for to be present, was then unmasked by her, as
part of the criminal conspiracy, shrugging off the charges against her to
expose the crooked brief but at the same time the rackety Assistant Chief
Constable Hilton, who then committed suicide with a shot gun!
Then in another surprise the disgraced new
boy at ‘AC-12’ – who was framed by a
colleague, blundered into the trap, with a gun, and revealed himself as another
conspirator, he was then arrested, the young boy and the husband, all framed,
were then released.
Then in the last scene the ‘ AC-12’
Superintendent Hastings, played by Adrian Dunbar, was keen to stress that the ‘H’
stood for ACC Hilton who was found dead from shotgun wounds, apparently
self-inflicted, the shadowy master villain that they had been looking for.
Perhaps the ‘Super’ was a little too eager,
given that his surname shares the same initial?! Watch this space for the next
series!!
PS; The " Film On " TV System that we watch the English TV & Sports on, via my large PC has gone off, its now encoded, this means that we need the new ' Black Box ' system 'ASAP' despite the ' Fiber Optic' still not being installed, watch this space.
Thoughts for the Day, See above.
