A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 9th/ MAY 2017.

I was up first this morning to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, as usual, she shot into her duvet and we all had a little lie in, after freshening up we had our normal light breakfast of fresh fruit, toast & tea, I then went down to our local butcher for tomorrow night’s supper, his best diced Stewing Beef for the Curry, I also bought some ‘ Chicken Wings’ for another day.

The sun was out early and the sky is already bright blue, there is no breeze so it was very hot as I walked along ‘ Calle Mar’ – all the bars had their umbrellas for the breakfast business, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 25 degs+! Sadly the forecast for the next three days is rain, then on Saturday and over the weekend into next week it’s back to normal, for the time of the year, warm & sunny, getting hotter by the day, hopefully that will then be the weather for the next 4 months, at least, watch this space.

See below the sunrise at 7-00 am this morning over the entrance to ‘ Puerto de la Duquesa’ Marina.

This evening for our supper I’ve just made a ‘Calves Liver & Sausage Onion & Mushroom Casserole’ to go in the oven this evening with the rest of the ‘ Boulangere Potatoes ‘ – and a fry-up of the left over vegetables, tomorrow I’m making my now famous ‘ Beef Curry ‘ with Brenda’s equally famous ‘ Basmati Rice’!

Yesterday afternoon we watched ‘ Spectre ‘ using our new ‘ Amazon Fire TV Stick’ for the first time, it’s all working very well, the terrestrial channels over in the ‘UK’ are online and the picture quality on the film channel is excellent, I’m starting to master the small remote control pad. The latest ‘ Bond Movie’ was very gripping , right from the start, all the action scenes were very exciting, Daniel Craig is very watchable, he will be a hard one to follow, it even has a happy ending, as they say ‘ James Bond Will Return ‘! Watch this space.

Some not so good news, the garage has found some more damage to the car that the assessor missed?! We are waiting to hear about the cost! Watch this space.

Over the next couple of days it’s going to be ‘batten down the hatches’ time as the ‘ Atlantic ‘ storm hits us! I will have to go out on Friday morning, on my travels, down to Sabinillas, for the weekly shopping and brave the wet weather, again!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
