A WARM AND SUNNY( WET !) MANILVA ON TUESDAY'

TUESDAY 23rd/ SEPTEMBER 2014.

This morning I was up before ‘Dawn’ – she gets up later each day! In fact it was still dark as I set off to pick Lilli up and go across to the bus station over in Marbella as she is flying back to Helsinki/Finland – only one problem, the buses are possibly on strike to take her home to Pori after she lands?! The good news is that she will be back shortly; yesterday she had call from another company in Gibraltar asking her to go for an interview, she is still waiting to hear from Brian’s company! See the picture below'

On the way back there was a spectacular sunrise with a Red sky, the wet stuff is keeping away from us down here in sunny Manilva, at the moment, certainly for the next few days which is good news as the rest of Spain is being hit with storms and floods, Also we are now going out on Friday evening down to the ‘Castillo de la Duquesa’ for a Council presentation by the ‘Foreign Residents Dept’ to launch their ‘Autumn’ activities with entertainment and nibbles, then we are going to the Marina for an Thai meal at the “ Kinnaree Thai ” restaurant – to end my week of celebrations for my birthday in style!!

Little princess ‘Reina’ arrived earlier than normal this morning so Brenda was also up and on doggy sitting duties, she is back with us on Thursday for the day also. ‘Scruffy’ will not back with us until the end of next week as the folks are still on holiday. ' Chispa' has just dashed in from the rain and is paying with 'Reina' around my feet.

Last night we had some Cold Roast Loin of Pork for supper with a fry-up of some of the leftover vegetables & poatatos, tonight we are having Pan seared ‘Calves Liver’ with Smoked Bacon, griddled Baby Mushrooms, Onions and Tomato, Yorkshire Pudding filled with Gravy and sautéed Potatoes and some Sunday Vegetables that we saved! See the pictures above.

Then tomorrow we are out for a late lunch up at ‘Venta Garcia’ to celebrate my ‘Official’ birthday in the style that we have been accustomed too over many years of practice!! Watch out as one of the new ‘shirts’ will no doubt appear!

So today we are having an at home day, Brenda is catching up with the washing, drying and ironing; she has just had to pull in the washing as a heavy rain shower has appeared from nowhere! Meanwhile I’m in the office on the WWW, reading the E-Mails & Facebook messages, reading various news papers; I won’t say which as the ‘Queen of Skelton’ does not agree with my choice of papers! She is at present over in Ireland babysitting her grandchildren.

The ‘TDP’ Sports Channel is covering the ‘World Road Race Championships’ in Ponferrada, yesterday it was the junior riders and today the senior riders in the Time Trials. The only problem is that it’s slightly wet to say the least so it’s more dangerous.

This evening we will catch up with all the news, sport and weather details before finding something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
