A VERY WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 14th/ SEPTEMBER 2014.

We had our first lie in this week this morning and then a nice leisurely breakfast before showering and freshening ourselves up; the weather forecast is still fine with the temperatures hovering around the 33degs mark, for now, most of the rest of Spain has storms, rain and snow in the mountains but down here in Andalusia and especially the ‘Costa Del Sol’ they are starting to talk about it being the hottest September since records began!

Later we will get tonight’s supper prepared, we are having ‘Escalope of Turkey Breast’ cooked in foaming Lemon Butter with Basmati Savory Rice on the side, Garden Peas mixed with Baby Carrots and some fresh local Cauliflower florets for Brenda and a sauce boat of of my rich creamy Mushroom sauce!

Next week is starting to take shape, we have ‘Reina’ on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening for a sleep over, sadly no ‘Scruffy’ as Adrian & Rose are on holiday, so on Wednesday we are going out for the day shopping over in Marbella at the ‘La Canada’ mall! Brenda has a little list and so do I!!

Last night I received an E-Mail from the ‘Queen of Skelton’ with some picture taken by her official court photographer( Den!) to show that the tiny hamlet of Skelton,up ‘North!’ is alive and well and looking rather good – see the pictures below. The Castle is not the Royal residency,sadly !

This afternoon I will be watching the final stage 21 of the 'Vuelta' which is a very short and fast 10km 'Time Trial' around the religious capital of Spain ' Santiago De Compostela' up in the region of Galicia,weather permitting as storms are forecast!

Later this evening we will catch up with all the news,sport and weather details before finding a film to watch.

PS; We have just been watching 'Manilva RTV' which was showing last Sunday's 'Vendimia Festival' when what should come up,surprise surprise but my interview with Belen,the presenter; I managed to get it on my mobile but did not have time to get the camera ! If it come on again we will try to catch it and post it on the Blog! Belen did a very good job of translating the interview - thanks!!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
