A STILL VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 9th/ SEPTEMBER 2014.

Well little princess ‘Reina’duly arrived early this morning before the sun was out and the street lights were still on! She then has a little nap before we have breakfast, then just after breakfast and as I was going for my shower’Chispa’ came crashing in and is now playing with her girl friend around my feet up in the office; at lunchtime ‘Scruffy’ is due as he’s staying with us for two days on a sleep over- so its all happening here in ‘Doggy World Heaven’

PS; News Update - 'Scruffy' is coming to stay with us over Christmas for 5/6 days - great news!!

This week we are back to normal after all the excitement of last weeks festival, the village is going quiet as the children are back to school this week, the council workmen are starting to take down the stages, lighting and canopies and the cleaning carts are working overtime to get Calle Mar and the side streets back to there normal pristine self!

The weather forecast is staying good with clear Blue skies and the sun out, the rest of the week and over the weekend is also fine with the temperatures on the 34/35degs mark, this is now the longest spell in the last ten years of fine/hot weather and of course no rain for over nearly six months!!

We have not planned anything with menus this week, we are just taking things as they come, so tonight we are having the rest of the ‘Chicken Curry’ At the moment Brenda is pottering about catching up with all the chores, cleaning, washing.drying and ironing, meanwhile I’m up in the office as you can see on the ‘WWW’ catching up with all the newspapers, E-Mails, Facebook comments etc.

Today the ‘Vuelta’ is on a rest day for the riders before the final 5 stages up to the finish on Sunday, yesterday was a classic climbers day with first Contador and Froome leaving Valverde behind on the final climb and then Contador dropped Froome in the last 1km to win the stage and retain the race leaders ‘Red Jersey’ - last night we watched the ‘European Championship Qualifying 2016’game on TVE1 as Spain beat Macedonia 5-1 up in Valencia,over in Switzerland they were beaten 0-2 by a not very impressive England.

So this evening after supper we will settle down to find a film to watch after channel hopping, we are staring to get back to reading in the afternoons but it’s still a bit hot to concentrate at the moment!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
