A VERY ' CRISP' & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 16^th/ JANUARY 2018.

We were both up early this morning, after a quick freshen up ‘ Chico’ was collected, he’s back in three weeks time, for another weeks holiday, then little princess ‘ Reina’ was dropped off for the day, this evening the new dog ‘ Charlie’ is arriving for his weeks holiday.

We then shot down to Sabinillas to go to the ‘Medical Centre’ – Brenda had a appointment for blood tests etc and I had a appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for a review/check up, she then arranged a ‘ECG’ test, for later this morning for me, I’ve just been back down and was seen to straight away, then tomorrow morning I’m going down for my blood tests etc, we are both going back to see her next Friday 26^th in the morning, with a double appointment, for all the results, the ‘ Medical Centre ‘ reception was very efficient, watch this space.

As we were going down this morning through the vine fields the sun was just coming up above the Mediterranean, the sky was already clear & bright blue and there was just a very light breeze, it then turned red as the sun came up above the horizon, it’s still very ‘ crisp’ but warm in the sun, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 15/16 degs, the rest of the week and over the weekend is staying the same, getting a little warmer as the week goes on, next week is also looking dry & settled, a very pleasant time of the year, watch this space.

And this evening !

At the moment the maintenance man is here, as this morning when we went downstairs, the bathroom/toilet floor next to the kitchen was flooded, there is leak coming down the wall, the ‘ mains’ have been turned off and checks are being made, watch this space!

We ended up with two workmen, they traced the leak to the very old pipework under the upstairs bathroom floor/sink, the whole was dug and the pipework was replaced with new copper pipes, meanwhile downstairs they had to breakdown the ceiling in the bathroom/toilet to get to the problem, when they did it brought down a very large nest of ' Cockroaches  - Cucarachas ' - much to Brenda's displeasure, to say the least! They are returning in the morning to re-plaster the ceiling and cement in the hole in the floor under the sink, then re-paint the ceiling on another day, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the ‘Cold Roast Topside of Beef’ with a Mixed Salad and some twice-cooked ‘Chips’ – my carving skills( Sabatiere Knife!) - have been so good with the ‘ Pink’ Beef, that we have had three meals out of the joint! Tomorrow it’s going to be a ‘ Casserole of Lambs Liver ‘ ( not Calves!) with Smoked Bacon & Pork Sausages, in a Mushroom & Onion Salsa, on Thursday it’s ‘ Grilled Chicken Wings’ – Friday is ‘ Fish Night’ and Saturday is ‘ Steak Night’ and on Sunday, for a change, we are having ‘ Pan-Seared Medallions of Pork Fillet ‘

Last night after supper we watched the next two-part episode of “ Silent Witness “ – with two killings ( stabbings!) and then the suicide of the killer, then at the end another stabbing and possible death, all in a day’s works for the team at the Coroner/Medical Investigation office!
