A ' CRISP' & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 11th/ JANUARY 2018.

I was up early again this morning to see ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot into her duvet and we then we all had a nice lie in, ‘ Chico’ has been on the bottom of the bed all night, it was then shower time, Brenda then took ‘ Chico’ out for his first walk of the day, meanwhile I started our day off, in the right direction, with ‘Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ smothered in ‘ HP Brown sauce, open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of steaming, strong, mugs of ‘ PG Tips’!

We have started the day with great news; Sandra let us know that her ‘Christmas’ cards had arrived in Everett, Ontario, Canada and Lyn over in Melbourne, Australia, at the same time had received hers!! They were posted on the 1st December, strange that they arrived on the same day, at opposite sides of the World?!

This morning the sky was clear & bright blue first thing, there is a slight breeze but the sun is out and its going to reach 16 degs by lunchtime, ‘ Crisp’ but very pleasant, tomorrow is the same then on Saturday we could have a little of the wet stuff but then for the rest of the weekend it’s going to be dry & sunny, next week is now looking settled, with sunshine, getting warmer as the week goes on reaching the 18/19 degs mark by Wednesday, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the ‘ Beef, Onion & Mushroom Casserole’ with this time Brenda’s famous Mashed Potato, on Friday it’s as usual ‘ Fish Night’ and on Saturday ‘ Steak Night’ – Sunday’s menus are TBC – to ‘Roast’ or not?! Watch this space.

Yesterday evening before supper we went down, at 7-00 pm, to the new pizzeria down our street “ Pizza Lovers “ which was just opening, we were the first in the door and were welcomed by the new owner, Domenico, our friend, with a glass of chilled Cava! Luigi in the kitchen was already getting the first Pizzas in the new oven, as you can see in the pictures above, we wish him all the very best in his new venture for 2018!

After our supper we settled down to watch the first episode of the new four-part series over on Channel 4 “ Kiri “ starring the award winning Sarah Lancashire, as a child social worker, in a gritty murder/drama based in Bristol, she has a strong ‘ Bristol’ accent, with her dog that goes everywhere with her, the story unfolded as a young black girl, in her care, goes missing, is kidnapped and then murdered, with a strong supporting cast it’s one not to miss!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
