A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEKEND;

FRIDAY 13th / MAY 2016.

A little lie in this morning before breakfast, I then shot out to collect Tim from the ‘La Bella Vista’ site for some shopping from ‘Mercadona’ for the folks; I then came back up to the village through the green vine fields, due to all the rain, we are going out at lunchtime to ‘ Kokomo ‘ with Tim & Thea, they are moving on tomorrow to a site outside Cadiz where they are meeting some friends and then going by train into  Sevilla and staying at a hotel for a few days, they are then moving on towards Northern Spain and ending up in Bilbao to catch the ferry home in the middle of June! Watch this space.

The weather has finally changed, this morning we have a clear blue sky, a little breeze and its starting to get warm and sunny as forecast, the weekend is looking settled and next week we will be back to normal for this time of the year, a good drying day, Thea has all hers out! See the pictures below of a sunrise over Liverpool this morning and a rainbow over sunny Manilva bringing us the fine weather back!!

Yesterday afternoon we went down to the site and had a nice bottle of a chilled ‘Cava Rosado’ as we had a good old catch up with all their news, we sat under the car port awning in the sunshine & the rain, later we moved into the motor home; we then went out for some supper, we settled on the nearest place which happened to be the new “ Mini India Restaurant “ which is the ‘ hot’ place at the moment! It was our first time there as we had been recommended by Lee & Daniela to try it; the staff were very attentive and the service was quick, its very modern in design and is on the first floor of a complex behind ‘ Castillo de la Duquesa’

The girls had a bottle of ‘ Vina Sol’ - Tim had a bottle of ‘Cobra’ and I had my usual; we ordered an ‘Assorted Platter’ of Seek Kabab, CTK Malai Kebab, Onion Bhajee & Vegetable & Meat Samosa to start, it was all very good and just enough for us
.
For the main course, which we had a break, as offered by the Head Waiter, Brenda ordered the ‘ Patia Lamb’ ( Mango Curry etc ) Thea had the ‘Handi Prawns’ ( med-hot) Tim had the ‘ Special Lamb Kadhai’ ( five different spices ) and I went mad and ordered the ‘ Vindalloo King Prawns ‘ *** I was tempted to try the ‘ Phal’ ***** - but that’s for another day! All with ‘ Mushroom Rice, Fried Rice and the Mirchi Wali Rice’ ( hot) on the side. Everything was excellent and served over heated lamps as you can see in the pictures above. On the ‘ House’ they brought along chilled glasses of a nice ‘Cava’ to end a memorable night. Very good standards, style & service, not expensive, we shall return!
