A STILL VERY WET & OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 11th / MAY 2016.

We were up early this morning and after ‘ Reina’ arrived for the day we shot down to Sabinillas  so as Brenda could go to her hairdresser’s for the ‘ full works’ - Annie fitted her especially, I’m picking her later and we are doing a little shopping, I treated myself to a ‘ Sausage Butty ‘ ( soft white bread !) with a mug of tea in the local cafe by the shop, I also picked up a newspaper to read at the same time.

Overnight the heavy rains returned but this morning, at the moment, its dry bit overcast,the overall
temperatures have dropped by 10 degs, today its due to reach 14/16 degs! Its the same tomorrow but on Friday and over the weekend we are getting back to normal, fingers crossed!

For this evenings supper we are having ‘ Grilled Gammon Steaks’ topped with a Fried ‘ Campo’ Egg and some Broad Beans & twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ On Thursday morning I’m shooting down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping.

Tomorrow evening we are meeting Tim & Thea down on the ‘ Bella Vista’ site just past Sabinillas, the ‘ BBQ ‘ has been cancelled so we are going to find somewhere to eat local and then have a good catch up with all their news, on Friday I’ve booked a table at one of our favourite restaurants for lunch, Tim & Thea are then moving on up the coast on Saturday morning towards Cadiz.

Later today we are taking things easy and getting our clothes etc sorted for the next couple of days, I’ve also got a set of washing ready to go out when the weather clears; over the weekend we have no plans at the moment.

Next week we are going over to Estepona to take the carriage clock back to the jewellers as its still not working after the expensive repair, we will then carry on to Marbella to go to the car- hypermarket to get two new tyres fitted on the car and the air-con checked, no doubt we will end up in ‘ La Cañada’ at the same time for some ‘window’ shopping! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
