A WARM BUT OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 7th/ MAY 2016.

I was up first this morning to get my self set up for the day ahead, we had for our breakfast of toasted ‘ Smoked Bacon Butties’ smothered in HP’ sauce with mugs of steaming tea; I then shot off down to ‘Castillo de la Duquesa’ to the main studio of ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ for my ‘live’ show at 11-00am to 1-00pm - ‘Sir Malcolm’s Classic Saturday Session’

It was a quiet gripping show as there was a technical problem with the ‘FM’ microphone as well as a ‘ Pregnant Pause’ in the middle of the show when a record track did not play! I don’t use my scripts now and I’m starting to master the mixing deck as well as the multi-screens, at certain times Andrew was not in the studio so I had to ‘go it’ alone!! I played a request for Tim & Thea, dedicated a  track to their daughter Jo and Mano & Anna’s daughter Sally Ann, as well as my usual mention for ‘ Lady’ Brenda up in sunny Manilva!  I also managed to give a weather  forecast from his weather station which shows you all the wind directions, temperatures etc. Tune in listen via the WWW!!

On the way back I called into ‘ Mercadona’ for the things that I left behind yesterday, a bad idea as it was mad busy. At the moment its dry, overcast but still warm in sunny Manilva, the threatened rain is due to hit us later, we have managed to get away with it for now, over the weekend and into the start of next week its more of the same before we get back to normal for this time of the year.See the picture below of the 'Princess Dock' in Liverpool last night.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Grilled Fillet Steaks’ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ with Baby Mushrooms, whole Green Beans and of course some twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ Tomorrow night we have decided  to treat ourselves to a ‘ Roast Leg of South Island New Zealand Lamb’ studded with Garlic cloves & Rosemary, resting on a bed of my famous ‘ Boulangere Potatoes’ and a selection of Brenda’s vegetables.

Its the next to last football weekend in the ‘Premiere League’ and over here in ‘La Liga’ Leicester ( the new Champions ) welcome Everton and then tomorrow Liverpool are at home to Watford and Manchester City are also at home to Arsenal, over here Barcelona welcome their near neighbours Espanyol ( Mano’s team!) in the ‘Derby’ game and Real Madrid play Valencia in Madrid. At the moment Brenda is watching the tennis from Madrid Open as Andy Murray is playing Rafael Nadal in the semi-final.

Last night as we were having supper with Lillimor we caught the final of ‘MasterChef’ on BBC1 – they choose  the correct winner ‘ Jane Devonshire’- the mother of four who was by far the best cook and improved as the show progressed.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
