A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 29th/ MAY 2016.

We managed a short lie in this morning and after freshening up we had our breakfast to set us up for the day ahead, ‘Campo Poached Eggs on Toast’ with mugs of tea; we then went out to see the ‘ Corpus Christi ‘ parade from the church up through the village, at everyone of the ‘ Tableaus’ set up in front of the houses its stops and prayers are said and the children in their first communion best clothes throw Rose Petals and all the village sings hymns; see the pictures above.

Today is going to be the hottest day so far this year, the breeze has dropped and the sun was out early, its already hot and by lunchtime it will reach 28/29 degs, the week ahead is looking fine and settled with more hot sunshine and fine weather, back to normal for June!

At lunchtime we are going up to ‘Bar Castillo’ for a light  ‘Paella’ lunch and a cool drink sat outside in the warm sunshine, later I will collect the Roast Chicken from the ‘ Rotisserie ‘- see below.

For our supper this evening, I’ve made the ‘ Russian Salad ‘ to my own recipe, Boiled Diced Potatoes, Chopped Boiled ‘ Campo¡ Eggs’ Chopped Garden Pea & Baby Carrots, Crushed Tuna & Diced Cooked Red Pimento, all seasoned and mixed with ‘ Hellmans ‘ Light’ Mayonnaise.

At the moment I’m listening to the ‘Pete Black’ request show on Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ which he broadcasts ‘ live’ from Studio 2 in ‘ Puerto de la Duquesa’ between 12-00 to 2.00 pm every Sunday.

This afternoon we will watch the ‘Grand Prix of Monaco’ before settling down later to channel hop, after supper we will find a good film to watch. Last night we followed the football as Real Madrid beat Atl.Madrid on penalties in the ‘ UEFA Champions League Final’ in Milan with who else but Ronaldo scoring the winning goal! At the same time we caught the Final of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ when a Magician Richard Jones was the surprise winner!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
