MONDAY 16th / MAY 2016.
I was up first this morning to see little
princess ‘ Reina’ back with us here in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ – she’s here
everyday up to Friday and has a sleep over on Thursday; when we were out
yesterday lunchtime Rose booked ‘ Scruffy’ in with us on the first Saturday of June
for a sleep over and he’s also joining us at Xmas for a week, ‘Charlie’ is this
year with us for two weeks over the New Year.
Overnight the temperatures have started to
rise, we have a nice warm & sunny week ahead, its getting hotter each day
with just a little breeze to keep it very pleasant, back to normal for the time
of the year 24/25 degs, we will be changing to the light duvets over the next
few days. The washing is in the machine and I will put it out to dry later up on
the roof patio in the sky! See below Sabinillas beach at lunchtime today:
For our supper this evening we are having
the rest of last night ‘ Braised Steak’ as I’ve added some more steak that I
had ready, we will have a fry-up of the leftover vegetables and potatoes,
tomorrow evening I will but some ‘Chicken Escalope’s’ from our butchers and
then on Wednesday its going to be ‘Gammon Steaks’
.
After typing and posting the Blog I’m
working on this weeks show ‘ Sir’ Malcolm’s Saturday Classic Session on ‘
Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ which this week will be ‘ live’
as usual from the main studio in ‘ Castillo de la Duquesa’ I’m taking the
playlists down first thing in the morning and then coming back to collect
Brenda to go down to Sabinillas to check out the ‘Private Physiotherapist’ to
see if she can help Brenda with more movement and flexibility.
On Wednesday morning we are going across to
Estepona to take back our carriage clock to the jewellers as its still not
going after the expensive repair, we are then calling into the ‘IT’ shop for
inks for the printer as the two local shops have closed, we will then go on to ‘
La Cañada’ and drop the car off at the ‘Car Hypermarket’ for two new rear tires
and to get the air-con checked before doing some ‘ window shopping’ – watch this
space.
This week is a very important for ‘
Football’ as on Wednesday in Basle its the ‘ UEFA Europa League Cup Final’
between Liverpool and Sevilla, then on Saturday its the ‘ FA Cup Final’ at
Wembley before the ‘ Copa del Rey Final’ on Sunday in Madrid between Barcelona
and Sevilla, the following week its the ‘ UEFA Champions League Final’ in Milan between
Real Madrid and Atl. Madrid!
Over the last couple of weeks we have been
given lots of books ( Anna & Thea ! ) so we are getting back into our routine
of reading in the afternoons before out ‘Happy Hour’ cocktails, we are still
trying to find coloured wall pots for the patio in the sky so will be checking
out Estepona on Wednesday as they have them in every street, I will call into
the Tourist Office to find out where they got them from!
Last night we watched the final episode of ‘
Undercover’ – it was very gripping and exciting with two very big surprises, a
gripping court room drama in the USA and a shooing in a forest in the UK! Then
another surprise ending, excellent acting by the two main characters played by Sophie
Okonedo & Adrian Lester; next week we are going to watch ‘ Wallander ’ with
Kenneth Branagh, in the title role, its the final series and we will be
watching it for the first time!
