A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 15th / MAY 2016.

We had a nice lie in this morning after a busy week, we then had ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs & Smoked Bacon with buttered toast and mugs of tea to start the day off in the right direction! I then got this evenings supper on the go ‘ Braised Steak in a Red Wine, Mushroom & Onion Sauce’ I will pop it into the oven this evening to finish cooking, meanwhile the ‘ Vegetable Chef’ prepared her famous ‘ Mashed Potato’ along with Carrot Batons & whole Green Beans.

We have the most perfect day here in sunny Manilva, the sky is blue, the sun was out early and there is just a little breeze, making it very pleasant, by lunchtime its due to reach 24/25 degs, the week ahead is also looking good with more of the same and getting a little warmer. See the picture below of the ‘ Liver Buildings’ in Liverpool as the sun set last night.

At lunchtime we are going along to ‘ Bar Castillo’ in Calle Mar for a light ‘tapas’ lunch and no doubt a cool drink sat outside in the warm sunshine. As we were sat a young couple came along and we started  chatting, James & Michela,  who are from Didsbury, they are here to look at an apartment in the village as they are moving over here as he's got a new job in Gibraltar, as it happens the apartment belongs to a friend and Adrian '(Scruffy's dad ) was showing it to them! Michela is also a school friend of Den's children ( Josie!)  Its a small world !!

We have another busy week coming up, in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ little princess ‘ Reina’ is with us for five days from Monday to Friday with a sleep over on Thursday, on Monday I’m working on my playlists for my show on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ which I will take down to the main studio in ‘ Castillo de la Duquesa’ on Tuesday morning, then we are going to a Private ‘Physiotherapist’ to check out Brenda’s feet & legs to help get them back to normal with more mobility, watch this space.

On Wednesday we are off on our travels to Estepona, first we are taking our carriage clock back to the jewellers as its still not working after its expensive repair, then we are heading on to Marbella to go to the ‘ La Cañada’ shopping mall for some ‘ window shopping’ – at the same time I will drop off the car at the ‘Car Hypermarket’ for two new rear tires and a check up of the air-con. Watch this space.

Thursday is an at home day catching up with all the chores around the house including more washing & drying, On Friday morning I’m going down to Sabinillas for the weekly shopping, then on Saturday its time for my ‘live’ show from the main studio in’ Castillo de la Duquesa’ , Andrew is working on the new studio in ‘Puerto de la Duquesa’ which is next to the offices of the ‘Castle Media Group’. He’s hoping to have it ready by the start of June, watch this space.

Last night we watched the ‘ Eurovision Song Contest’ coverage on BBC1 with Graham Norton as the host, its the first time in a very long time that we have been able to see it, Ukraines ‘ Jamala’ won after a very exciting new final points results ending, the song “ 1944 “ is about the deportation of ‘Crimean Tatars’ under Josef Stalin?! Australia was second?! England’s entry was next to last! This evening we will be glued to our screen to watch the final episode of ‘ Undercover’
