A VERY WET & OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 9th / MAY 2016.

I was up first this morning to see ‘Reina’ back with us for the day, she’s here everyday up to Thursday, we then got ourselves up & ready slowly, ‘Reina’ is in her duvet in the office, for our breakfast we had toasted ‘ Smoked Bacon Butties a la Sexton’ – smothered in ‘HP’ sauce with mugs of steaming tea, a good start to the week.

Overnight the rain has not stopped and at the moment its pelting down here in a very damp and overcast sunny Manilva, the temperature is down to just 20 degs, the next three days is forecasting more of the same, on Thursday it's starting to pick up, no rain and getting warmer, its now the wettest start to May on record down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – meanwhile over in the ‘UK’ its very hot and sunny, in parts yesterday it reached 28/29 degs, in Colwyn Bay & Llandudno it was 25 degs! The hottest start to May on record!! See the pictures below of the Bay of Llandudno & the West Shore yesterday;

For this evenings supper we are having ‘ Cold Roast Leg of Lamb’ – we love cold-cuts of all roast meats, its a ‘fry-up of the leftover vegetables along with the rest of the ‘ Boulanger Potatoes’ and of course a sauceboat of finger licking Gravy; the menu’s for the rest of the week are yet to be agreed.

This weeks plans are now starting to materialize; I’m taking my playlists down to the studio in ‘Castillo de la Duquesa’ tomorrow morning for this weeks show on Saturday, My ' ON AIR ' sign has just arrived in the lunchtime post from China! See below.

Brenda is trying to get an appointment at her hairdressers down in Sabinillas over the next couple of days, I’m doing the weekly shopping on Thursday morning, we are then catching up with Tim & Thea on the ‘ Buena Vista’ site just past Sabinillas after they arrive, a ‘BBQ’ is on the agenda, weather permitting, then on Friday we are taking them out for lunch to one of our favourite restaurants ( its a surprise !) They are then heading off around the coast and up to Cadiz on Saturday morning, its what’s called a ‘flying visit’ – short but sweet, safe journey and enjoy your travels.

Just a quick football update after yesterdays games; Liverpool won 2-0, Everton lost 3-1 to the champions Leicester and Manchester City gave away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Arsenal and have given a chance to the rivals Manchester Utd to take the 4th spot in the ‘Premiere League’ Over here in ‘ La Liga’ Barcelona won 5-0, Real Madrid scrapped at 3-2 win but Atl. Madrid lost at the bottom team ‘Levante’ 2-1 and so can’t win the ‘ La Liga’ – its all down to the final matches next weekend, with Barcelona in the better position and leading by one point from Real Madrid! Watch this space.

Last night the final episode of ‘Undercover’ was not on, its back next Sunday, this was because the ‘BAFTA’ awards show was on.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
