A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 18th/ JUNE 2020.     “ STATE OF ALARM – DAY 96 “

We were both up early this morning and after a quick freshen up I shot down to the underground car park to collect the car and pick Brenda up back at the house, as we has decided last night to go down to Sabinillas shopping, I dropped Brenda off at ‘ Super Sol’ for the English essentials and I carried onto ‘Mercadona’ – for the first time in over 3 months, both supermarkets were well stocked & quiet, before the ‘ Forecasted’ Holiday Hoards return front next Monday 22nd - as the “ New Normality “ starts and the borders are opened! Watch this space.

We have a beautiful day here in a very sunny Manilva, down on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun was out early, the sky is cloudless & blue, as there is just a slight breeze, keeping it ‘ fresh’ warm & very sunny, with hot sunshine, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 29 degs+ - overnight down to only 20 degs+ - tomorrow will be very similar and then on Friday and over the weekend, when we will be out & about playing, it’s going to be more of the same, next week is now looking like it’s going to be a ‘ Hot-One’ – with lots of hot sunshine, cloudless and with just light breezes, hovering in the high 20s, - going hotter by next weekend, up 31 degs+ - watch this space.

“ CORANAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

One update on the “ New Normality ‘ which starts on Monday 22nd – the Spanish Foreign Minister ‘ Arancha Gonzalez Laya’ speaking to the BBC, last night, said the Spanish government could ‘ introduce reciprocity ’ if the British government does not lift its requirements re- the obligatory 2 week self quarantine period for citizens/ Spanish travellers returning to the UK! ‘ Hopefully be the time we open our borders, the UK will have moved forward also ’ ?! Watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Homemade’ (local Butchers  ) Burgers’ – ‘Cheese’ ( Gouda slice)  topped for Brenda & ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg for me! Both are served on toasted Sesame Seed Buns, layered with crisp Coz Lettuce, sliced Tomato & Gherkins, sautéed Baby Shallots & Crispy Smoked Bacon!! Not forgetting the ‘ once-cooked’ “ Stringfellow’s “  ( Frozen) with ‘ Heinz Tomato Ketchup ‘ on the side.

This evening it’s the re-start of the ‘ Premiere League’ over in the UK, as Manchester City welcome Arsenal, I will be trying to watch the match after checking all the sports channels on the ‘IPTV’ system.

Last night Barcelona won again as they beat Leganes 2-0 in the ‘La Liga’

This afternoon we will be watching the Flat Horse Racing from ‘ Royal Ascot’ – with the excellent coverage on ITV from a crowd-less Ascot!

“ STAY SAFE AND WELL INSIDE AT ALL TIMES “

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
