A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON FRIDAY AT THE START OF AN ' HELLUVA' WEEKEND!

FRIDAY 19th/JUNE 2020.    “ STATE OF ALARM –DAY 97 “

Just a little lie in this morning before we freshened up, I then shot along to the local Bank in ‘ Calle Mar’ to pay the electricity bill, before the queue outside got too long, when I returned I had a quick fresh fruit ( peeled/sliced Nectarine) toast & Tea, to the start the weekend’s celebrations, for Brenda’s birthday!

At lunchtime we are going along to ‘Bar Castillo’ for a nice cool drink, sat outside in the shade, as we have a couple of light Tapas, this evening we are going down to ‘ Marlow’s’ – along the coast road leaving Sabinillas, for our ‘ Fish N’ Chip Supper’ with Mushy Peas, then dropping down to ‘ Castillo de la Duquesa’ for another nice cool drink, as the sun sets later.

This morning, as usual now, the sun was out first thing after another glorious ‘Red’ sunset, the sky is cloudless and bright blue and there is just a slight ‘cooling’ breeze, making it very pleasant to be out & about, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 27/28 degs+ - overnight dropping to 18/19 degs+ - over the weekend it’s staying the same, hovering in the high 20s, with lots of hot sunshine, next week is going to be very similar, staying all week very sunny & hot, with just a few patchy clouds at time, all the time hovering in the high 20s, the following week, on the start of July, we are in for a ‘ Hot-One’ as we go into the low 30s + all week, watch this space.

“ CORANAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

No more news/updates coming out of Madrid, from the ‘National Coalition Government’ re the start of the “ New Normality “ on Monday the 22nd June.

Down here in sunny Manilva the ‘ Council’ announced yesterday that to increase the safety of the locals and expected tourists, on the Sabinillas promenade, from the 22nd June to September 30th  -  it will be free of wheeled vehicles, such as bicycles & scooters, for the first time, to ensure the safety of all, as it’s become rather dangerous, over the past few years, New signs have gone up and the local Police will be over the weekend warning people, in advance, of the new laws starting on Monday!

PS; Yesterday the ' Council' announced that there had been 1 new case of ' Covid 19' reported/confirmed here in sunny Manilva, bringing the total up to 7 - of which 5 have now been cleared & well! It just shows how important it is to stick to rules, at all times!

“ STAY SAFE AND WELL INSIDE AT ALL TIMES “

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
