No lie in this morning as I had to be up
and out for my new surprise appointment at the ‘ Estepona Hospital ‘ this
morning, at 10-00 am, with the ‘Physiotherapy’ Department for treatment on my
left hand, after a quick freshen up, I had toast & tea before shooting off
across to Estepona.
The problem with the Hospital in Estepona
is the parking, there is none, you have to drive round & round the area until
you find a spot, it’s a ‘ Nightmare’! The ‘ Physiotherapist’ Encarni, was very
helpful and explained that I was on a ten-day course, every morning, over the
next two-weeks! She dipped my hand in very hot water and formed a warm wax
glove on it, then a little later it was peeled off and she massaged my hand
with a special ‘Relax-Oil’ – then tension tests etc. I’m back tomorrow morning,
so I will drop Brenda off down in Sabinillas for her hairdressing appointment
for the ‘ full-works’ – on the way!
I then shot back to Sabinillas for my
appointment, at the Office, to re-new my ‘ Spanish Driving Licence’ - I was a little late, but had some luck as
Emillio, our old Doctor, who’s now retired, who’s business it is, greeted me
and looked after me straight away, he prepares all the documents, gives you all
the tests, eyes, weight, height, hearing etc, then his Assistant takes your
picture, gives you the reaction/sight tests and sends all the documents off to
the ‘Traffic’ Department, she issued me with a Temporary Licence, the new one
comes in the post in 3/ 4 weeks time! “ RESULT “
We have another ‘ Fresh’ day down here on
the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun was out earlier, the clouds have cleared and
there is a light breeze, keeping it ‘ Crisp’ in the shade, by lunchtime it’s
due to reach 16/17 degs+ - as the week goes on and the breeze drops, it’s going
warmer, with more sunshine, by the weekend up to 20 degs+ - with a clear blue
sky and patchy clouds at times, but mainly sunshine and none of the wet-stuff’!
Next week it’s looking the same, dry & settled, with sunshine every day,
back to normal for the time of the year, hovering in the high ‘ teens’ – during
the night on the 10/11 degs mark, watch this space.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Gammon Steaks’ – garnished with seared Button Mushrooms - topped with
seared Pineapple Rings & ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs! Served with Garden Peas and
of course twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ On Thursday evening it’s going to be ‘Pan
Seared Chicken Wings’ – with a Baked Potato, on Friday it will be a ‘ Fish
Supper’ and on Saturday as usual, ‘Steak Night’ – Sunday is still TBC, watch
this space.
This afternoon we will catch up withal the ‘Quiz
Shows’ that we follow, last night we caught the second episode of the excellent
“ Shetland “ – two more murders, all too do with people trafficking, then a
surprise suicide by a man in Police Custody!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
