A NOW ' FRESH' & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 24th/ FEBRUARY 2019.

Just a little lie in this morning, after freshening up we had a quick toast & tea before getting the day on the go.

I made the ‘ Bonne Femme Salsa ‘ ( see yesterday) and sautéed off the large Chicken Breasts in Oil & Butter, for colour, before slicing them in half, they are then placed in the ‘ Cocotte Pan ‘ – covered with the ‘Salsa’ –  which is then sealed, ready to go in the oven this evening.
The ‘ Vegetable Chef’ meanwhile was cutting the ‘ Parisienne Balls ‘ – ready to be sautéed-off later in clarified Butter & Goose Fat, it will be served with Wilted Baby Spinach & Glazed Baby Carrots.

' Pommes Parisienne '

This morning has started rather grey, cold & overcast, with patchy clouds, hopefully clearing later, it’s still due to reach 18 degs by this afternoon, next week is forecast to be dry & settled, with sunshine and a few patchy clouds, the breeze is still blowing, keeping it ‘ Fresh’ in the shade, hovering in the mid/high ‘ teens’ – going a little warmer by next weekend, watch this space.

Just a quick update on the sports results; Barcelona won 2-4 with Messi scoring his 50th hat-trick! France beat Scotland 27-10 and Wales beat the old enemy England  21-13!!

Last night after supper we settled down and watched the next two-part episodes of the Icelandic thriller/drama “ Trapped “ – the case was solved and people arrested, but is it over?! This evening it’s the second episode of the excellent “ Baptiste “ as the ‘ French Detective’ based in Amsterdam starts to unravel the true facts, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
