A GLORIOUS ' FRESH & CRISP' SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 11th/ FEBRUARY 2019.

We had just a little lie in this morning, after freshening up as I was on the breakfast rota so we had ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – smothered in ‘HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda – with mugs of hot/strong tea.( as I’m feeling a little better- see below)

As usual I was listening to the ‘ Andrew Charles Breakfast Show’ on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ –  as the “ Music Quiz “came on, a short 6 second track, with no clues, it took me a few minutes to get it, it was ‘ Squeeze ‘ with ‘ Cool For Cats’! I’m in the draw on Friday!!

I then rang the Garage to find out when the car will be ready, hopefully they are dropping it off this afternoon, by 4-00 pm, I’m then going down to Sabinillas at 6-30 pm for my appointment to renew my ‘Spanish Driving Licence’- they take the picture and prepare all the documents, then it’s sent off and the Licence come in the post. Watch this space.

Tomorrow morning I’m calling into the main ‘Medical Centre’ to re-book my appointment with the Nurse, that I missed on Friday when the car broke down, for my monthly ‘ V12’ injection.

Yesterday afternoon I started to not feel very well, I had aches all over, in my joints & muscles, I felt very week & exhausted, I could not eat my supper ( very unusual!) and had a bad night’s sleep ( CFS?) - this morning I’m feeling a little better, but still no right, I’ve taken the tablets so hopefully I will feel better later, watch this space.

After breakfast I shot along to the local Bank in ‘Calle Mar’ for some cash( Car Repair!) – we have another glorious day here in sunny Manilva, the sky is blue, it’s very ‘ Fresh & Crisp’ but warm at the same time, on the sunny side of the street, by lunchtime it will be 19 degs+ down to 12 degs overnight, as the week goes on it’s getting a little cooler, in the mid ‘ teens’ – as the breeze picks up, bringing with it a new ‘ Atlantic’ front, with patchy clouds and a chance of the ‘ wet-stuff’ -  next week is looking the same but with possible rain! Watch this space.

See below the sunrise this morning over in Liverpool.

In ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ this week we have little  ‘Winnie’ – the Pug, joining us for the first time on Thursday morning, she’s here for a sleep-over and then will be collected later on Friday afternoon, no doubt ‘ Chispa’ will be calling in to see her new friend.

Yesterday evening we called Sandra & Bill over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, on the ‘ Skype’ video, they are expecting a severe cold spell to hit them, later this week with lots of snow, it will be too cold to go out at times, as the danger of frostbite will be in the air! When they drive their cars/trucks they have special tyres that react to the minus cold weather conditions, Bill has a new- larger truck ( Chevrolet Diesel)  for towing the trailer, they are starting to watch out for their flights from Montreal to Malaga direct, as well as the car-rentals, as usual they are busy all the time, Sandra has on her Mobile phone a ‘ Countdown’ to her retirement!! Take care in all that snow!!

For our supper this evening we are having the same as last night, when hopefully my appetite will be back,  topped up with more ‘ Lamb Chops’ – the rest of the weeks menus are yet to be agreed, watch this space.

This afternoon/early evening we will be catching up with all the ‘ Quiz Shows’ that we follow, then after supper we will find something to watch after channel hopping.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
